The X2000 Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router from Linksys is a stellar simple way to connect to the Internet without having to separately buy a modem and a router. With the X2000, you get two in one. Because this device features a DSL jack, you can directly connect a DSL line to it and connect to the Internet.
As a router, the X2000 provides three LAN ports for wired device connectivity. Its 802.11n Wi-Fi signal is backwards compatible with 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11a devices. For security, it allows you to encrypt the signal with WPA or WPA2, scan incoming traffic with MAC Address Filtering, and setup an SPI firewall. The router can be used with and configured by Windows and Mac systems alike.

Comments about Linksys X2000 Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router:
We are quite pleased with our new modem router. Because our local phone company doesn't support Linksys products, I had to call B&H for the Cisco customer service phone number. B&H was great and gave me the number I needed. Placed the call to Cisco, explained our specific situation regarding the installation of the modem router, and their customer service technician helped my husband and I complete the installation and setup on both our computers. My husband uses a desktop, and I use a laptop. The Cisco technician was very professional and was able to get the technical information we required for our installation. The steps for installation on the disc were easy to follow. All in all, things are running smoothly and have not experienced any problems. I hope the product continues to be very reliable in the future. It's nice to be able to use my laptop now and not be subjected to losing the wireless connection all the time. The enhanced security provided with this modem router is also a very big plus.
Thank you B&H for your great service during the purchase of our product, and for your help afterwards by supplying us with the Cisco phone number.

Comments about Linksys X2000 Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router:
I have worked with network equipment before, my last DSL modem was a D-Link DSL – 2540B, I combined that with a D-Link DIR-655 router. So I'm familiar with the troubles and the pain that you have to experience making everything work when you replace a modem or router. However I was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of connecting the X2000.
I had budgeted at least two hours to install this modem (because it took me a good amount of time to configure the previous setup) but the X2000 found all the settings needed and I was off and running. In fact it took longer to confirm my settings with AT&T than it did for me to setup this modem/router.
I purposely waited a couple of weeks before writing this review to make sure there weren't any latent issues. So far I haven't encountered any. Just insert the installation disc and follow the prompts. The modem does the rest. I haven't encountered any drops or loss of connection. My only concern is the range of the router, I have a single family concrete construction home and the signal gets very poor after about twenty feet. Will test that a little later.

Comments about Linksys X2000 Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router:
I live in a 800sq.ft studio apt., I had a 7yr. old modem (free from AT&T/SBC) and a D-Link DIR-601 wireless router ($30.00 on sale). Router worked pretty good for a year and a half and then it just died one day.I orderd a X2000 fom B&H, [$] total, which included 3 day shipping. Arrived in 2 days and I had it up and running in 15 minutes. My internet is faster now and covers my studio apt. and out on the deck w/5 bars of full strength. I now have on my desk the slim (less than an 1.5" high x 8" wide x 6" deep) X2000 replacing my old modem and wireless router . The feature that I really like about the X2000 is you can turn off all the lights except the power-on light. My old modem and wireless router had a total of 11 steady and flashing lights that I found VERY annoying.Great modem/wireless router at a fantastic price.
