The 750GB My Passport USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive for Mac from Western Digital is a superb way to hold extra content from your MacBook or MacBook Air. This external hard drive can store up to 750GB of data and utilizes the USB 2.0 interface for connecting to your computer. In addition, the hard drive is powered by this interface, making it an extremely portable companion when you travel with your Mac computer. You can password protect the drive and rely upon its hardware encryption for added data security. Plus, if you're worried about losing all of your Mac's data, the drive is compatible with Apple's Time Machine software, so that you can backup your Mac easily. Comments about Western Digital 750GB My Passport USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive for Mac:
Bought this after lots of searching on the web and I couldn't be more satisfied both with the hard drive but also with B&H. Plugged it into my MacBook Pro and it did all the rest. Linked up to Time Machine and did the full back up. Very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Western Digital 750GB My Passport USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive for Mac:
I've been very happy with it. I found it easy to partition, and I use one partition to back up my MacBook Pro, I use another partition to backup an extensive amount of video and photos, and I haven't even gotten to the third partition yet, but I'll use it probably for special needs as they come up. Very satisfied with the performance and price and ease of use.

Comments about Western Digital 750GB My Passport USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive for Mac:
This WD My Passport for Mac has performed as I hoped. It certainly compliments the look of my MacBook Pro. It has the same minimalist concept as the computer, with clean lines, smooth textures and great features. It is bus powered with a single USB port which means I do not have to use additional cables for power. Although the casing is constructed from plastic, its feel does not suggest the cheapness of some other products I've handled.
The device is simple to set up and is completed in less than 2 or 3 minutes. Encryption and password protect features are an added bonus, and I am pleasantly pleased there were no additional or unnecessary software to bog or steal my storage space. The 5400 rpm drive is fast and quiet, although at times you can hear a slight humming. This isn't annoying though.
This product offers value for money. It does the job of a good external drive with the sleek look of any apple product. Given that this product is relatively new, I wish WD had included a firewire800 port to accommodate faster transfer speeds and to free up the limited USB ports available on my MacBook Pro. The casing is also quite difficult to breach for customising or changing the disk. Most attempts at opening the case leaves visible marks or scratches. This is definitely not a good look for a product within this price range.
