The Pentax K-Mount Lens Monocular Converter converts any K-mount lens, made by any manufacturer, into a monocular.
The effective magnification is 5x the focal length of the lens (a 50mm lens becomes like a 250mm lens, for example), and only the central portion of the lens' field of view is incorporated into the monocular's eyepiece view.
This converter works surprisingly well when coupled to relatively bright, fixed-aperture telephoto lenses.

Good way with adapter to use long lens as a spotting scope. I'm using it with a Pentax-K to Nikon adapter to give a long scope with a 500mm catadioptic lens. It also works well with all my other non-G and non-DX Nikkor lenses.

I'm still trying to figure this out as there was no instruction sheet..It"s not rocket surgery..I do know you can over power it's effectiveness with a 2x or 3x magnifier..

Comments about General Brand Pentax K-Mount Lens Monocular Converter:
Product is easy to use and gives good (but not great)resolution and clarity when used with a well designed long lens (in this case a 400mm Pentax SMCP). It would be nice to see a version of the adapter with a zoom magnification eyepiece. Overall a good buy and should be a popular item for thoses trying to recycle their older film era telephoto lenses.
