The Alienware M18x 18.4" Notebook Computer (Stealth Black) from Dell provides the ultimate gaming experience for people on the go. The system features a dedicated graphics system. The nVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics card utilizes 1.5GB of dedicated memory for the graphics-intensive visuals of PC games.
Impressive graphics would be meaningless without a high-end screen and this Alienware notebook does not disappoint. Featuring a gorgeous 18.4" widescreen display, it is backlit with LED lamps. LED lamps brighten faster, use less power and provide better image quality than their CCFL counterparts. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is also the standard for HDTVs. The 1920 x 1080 native resolution allows for native 1080p high-definition video playback.
The system is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Intel Core i7-2670QM processor, which can also be overclocked up to 3.1GHz with Intel's Turbo Boost technology. The processor is supported with 8GB of DDR3 RAM to maximize multitasking. The slot-loading SuperMulti DVD burner makes it easy to install PC games while the two 500GB 7200rpm solid state hybrid hard drives (a total of 1TB) ensure you have enough space for them.
For online multiplayer, you'll need to connect to the Internet. This Alienware notebook provides a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jack for a fast wired connection. However, seeing as how this is a gaming notebook, you'll probably make more use of the 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi network as well as Bluetooth 3.0+HS technology for all your peripherals, such as a gaming mouse or joystick.

What's great? Everything Else! Blazingly fast. Because it's a gaming system, bottom line, it's good for everything including my 3d requirements!

Being the owner of a Christian organization that makes it's own materials in house. Traveling was a nightmare. How could I continue to make videos for the web and DVD's when on the road, I needed a Desktop replacement when it come to a laptop.
So even though this Laptop was classed as a gaming laptop and heavy, I knew it was what I need.
Dell really went all out with this machine and it even come with an Win7 DVD, Driver DVD, and Alienware cap and mouse pad. which was a nice touch. The instruction manual looks similar to my motor vehicle owners manual with place to put your DVD in.
The graphics and sound quality is awesome! Screen size for me at 18 inches is awesome for video editing and book formatting. With USB 3 & 2 ports, multiy memory slot for SD and other well used type like Sony's memory stick, transfering my projects onto this laptop is a breeze.
Even during chill out time , watching DVD's or movies are no problem. The sound is load enough for everyone to watching. Unlike my Sony, I had to add external speakers.
The changeable color scheme, helps to make your laptop unique and have a personality of it's own.
Shipping was fast and the tracking info allowed me to see where it was and when I could expect it on my doorstep.
All round I have had a wonderful experience between B & H and this Laptop. I only pray Dell support can live up to the quality I have experienced so far if the need arises.
