The PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector from Panasonic maximizes the image quality of the full-HD content in Blu-ray discs and HD broadcasts for large screen viewing, and adds a newly engineered red rich lamp and optical system that achieves a 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2000 lumens of brightness.
The incorporation of the red rich lamp increases the luminance efficiency of the projector, to achieve 150% brighter cinema picture modes compared to its predecessor. Prior to the development of the red rich lamp, much brightness was lost to attain the desired color purity/balance for the rich color reproduction of cinema picture modes due to the lack of red luminance.
A variety of advanced signal-processing technologies, beginning with Detail Clarity Processor 3 and Frame Creation2, push the performance level of the LCD projector to an entirely new level of picture quality and provide viewers with the true beauty of full-HD images. Detail Clarity Processor 3 brings greater clarity and sharpness to details, by reproducing fine nuances that were lost due to image compression. After a two dimensional analysis of the video signal's frequency in each scene, the new circuit optimizes the sharpness of each image portion based on the extracted information. The resulting images have a more natural, lifelike expression than those of previous image-processing methods.
Frame Creation2 offers a double-speed display (120Hz or 100Hz) greatly improves the clarity of motion images. Frame Creation2 interpolates one new frame for each existing frame by analyzing the characteristics of the adjacent frames to reproduce sharp and clear images for fast moving.
Finally, Panasonic works from every angle to minimize environmental impact in the product design, production and delivery processes, and in the performance of the product itself over its life cycle.

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
I have been waiting for an affordable 3d HD projector and the Panasonic seemed like a good bet. I watched a regular 2D blu-ray first and i was blown away by the picture quality. Now on the other hand I think it will be another generation or two until the home 3D technology catches up.

I basically use the product for home entertainement, so it is proving to be extremely good. Easy set-up, although a bit bulky, one set-up and mounted it works great.

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
Mounted on a shelf in a dedicated home theater room. Images are brilliant, even in economy mode. Mated to a Stewart 16:9 Filmscreen StudioTek 130 G3 (123" diagonal). Very easy to set up, and very quiet to operate (in eco mode). I haven't tried the 3D mode yet, but 3D is only a secondary consideration for me. I would have preferred a white chassis, so that it would call less attention to itself when it's not on. But that is just nitpicky.

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
I decided to purchase the AE7000 after reading numerous reviews online. The like priced Epson 5010 looks like a strong product as well, but a few reviewers mentioned an input delay between video game controllers and images. While my personal preference is movies, my kids love video games. They have zero issues with the AE7000 (besides finding the "off" switch!). I plan to build a new home theater around the AE7000. We've been sizing up the image on our basement wall before choosing a permanent screen. We're projecting a 119" diagonal (104" wide) 16:9 image on poured concrete (painted with gray drylok). The image is amazing. We've used blu-ray DVDs, Netflix, and cable TV - all thru a Yamaha receiver over HDMI. I haven't tested the 3D yet because the glasses are sold separately. The projector has a lens memory feature that supports multiple zoom/focus presets - this should be useful for filling our screen with different formats. Setup was simple. This is my 2nd large purchase from B&H and I'm very satisfied with the experience.

Unbeatable Performance and Affordable Price
I would like to tell you about this Projector to anyone who are looking for a brand new projector with the Affordable Price in the market, The Panasonic PT-AE7000U 3D Projector, I personally own two projectors. And i was very happy with the performance and quality of the picture that the projector provides, i can now convert the 2D video into 3D video which is the top technology you can get with this projector, it's very easy to set up and it provides the analog to rotate the Lamp and Zoom and Focus with your finger tip.
I wish the projector comes with the option where it can detect the size of the video then it can adjust the video to full screen.
Thank you

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
I got this projector and it shoots about 18 feet to a 133" diagonal screen. Like many I do not have a multitude of projectors sitting side-by-side to compare, but the picture is absolutely great. I read others reviews and have not been disappointed. I have it ofset about 30% left of center due to my room arrangement and the whole screen is still in focus and level. No complaints, just great movies. Now if I can just get my wife to leave the phone in the hallway!

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
I was worried about purchasing a projector on-line without ever having watched it. I also was not sure about B&H. The projector is great. HD is very clear on my 100" screen without any issue for gaming or watching fast action. The projector is very quite as well. I had no problems with B&H, they shipped quickly and kept me in the loop during the entire transaction. Nothing bad to say.

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
I was in the market for a new home theatre projector this year. After reviewing the summaries on all the new models this year, I finally decided on the PT-AE7000. Of course, I never believed all the hype written by the trade journals and video/audio magazines. So, I lowered my expectations. Well, I was terribly wrong. This is probably the best home theatre projector on the market under $4000, and more than likely one the best units on the market under $7000.
I am extremely satisfied with the unit. If I had to complain about something it would have been nice if Panasonic had included a pair of 3D glasses with the unit. It would have made the cost easier to justify to the Banker...my wife. :-)

Comments about Panasonic PT-AE7000U HD 3D Home Cinema Projector:
It was time to upgrade to a 1080P projector and it's been a year since I purchased a Panasonic 3D Plasma. Well I knew it was just a matter of time before the 3D Projector in my price range was going to be for sale. Panasonic once again has met my needs. The glass's (first version) work perfectly so I didn't have buy a newer model. Just pull the trigger on this one.
