I bought the Bamboo Capture as a mouse replacement for all around use and for professional graphics (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). The idea of a combined graphics tablet / trackpad seems so obvious that I can't believe there aren't dozens of products to choose from.
Unfortunately, there's currently only the Bamboo line.
I think the hardware is pretty good. It's fairly solid and no-nonsense. My quibbles are minor ones: the USB cable is annoyingly stiff, and short enough that you must plug it into a keyboard or monitor port. The textured buttons on the pad are a goofy excess. For no good reason, the pen lacks Wacom's usual eraser.
The software is the biggest disappointment. This is ultimately good news, because it could be fixed with a driver update. Are you listening Wacom? Please?
Some issues involve missing features: you cannot create program-specific preferences. You have very limited customization options for the tablet and pen buttons. Poor implementation of dragging from the trackpad (there's no easy way to do it without using one of the buttons)
The bigger issues are bugs in the software. These include:
-Occasional pauses in responsiveness
-A bit of "momentum" to the cursor when in touch mode, that leads the cursor to overshoot when your finger stops
-Various kinds of erratic behavior (scrolling working in opposite ways in one program vs. another
-Choppier scrolling / zooming than what you get with Apple's track pad or iOs devices
-Some really insane scrolling and zooming behavior with the stylus in InDesign (wildly oversensitive response, the whole document will start scrolling and can't be stopped)
I'm learning to work around many of these issues, and am about 90% comfortable with the Bamboo Capture as a mouse replacement. I just wish Wacom would get on it and update the software. This device COULD be ingenious. Some fixes, namely ones that just bring the touchpad behavior up to the standards of Apple's track pad, and a few bug eradications, would make this a nearly perfect input device for photographers.

This is my first time using a tablet and it is for educational reasons. I can say it was well worth the price and the tutorials that it comes with helps make sense of it all, being detailed and informative. Lightweight, attractive, easy to use, and it matches my silver unibody MacBook Pro.

Good product, worth buying it.
This wacon is lightweigt, portable and sensitive to draw with wacon's pen. I guess the wifi kit is also a good option for this product.

I received the larger pad at work and bought the smaller for my home office. I don't mind the smaller size, but bigger is nice too! It works so very well and it's easy to use once you get the hang of it. No cons!

I love this tablet I work off of a lap top so getting this tablet was a huge help. The price is unbeatable the software pakage it self is worth 90 dollars so you really are getting a great deal. I was amazed by what this tablet can do. If you are a photographer at any level who edits his or her pictures you need this tablet. The one problem I have is it takes some time to get used to you need to keep practicing with it. Overall best tablet for the money I highly recomend this product

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Capture Digital Tablet (Silver):
Bought as a replacement for an older Bamboo after I broke it by dropping it on the floor.
Good points:
It works, mostly.
Multitouch is nice, when it works, which is only some of the time - see lack of sensitivity adjustment below . .
Bad points:
It's much bigger than the old one and the active surface is swamped by the dead space around it, which is all the same colour and texture.
the length of the supplied USB lead is a joke - too short for anything but a laptop.
There is no sensitivity adjustment for the touch function
There is no eraser on the pen
The bundled software is in the case of Elements two iterations out of date (version 8), and in the case of Nik Effex seriously limited (3 effects only).
In short the old Bamboo was much much better, and I wish I hadn't broken it.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Capture Digital Tablet (Silver):
Works great for photo editing which is where it gets its most use. Using it as a mouse has proven well and I find myself not needing the trackpad at all if I am sitting at a desk. I do wish that they had placed the usb plug on the sides instead of at the end. This would of made it more user friendly as I can only keep it so close to my laptop due to the location of the plug on the bottom. Also, this may be from lack of knowledge, but it would be great to use the entire tablet when used as a pen istead of the 4 X 6 area allowable. But with use this becomes more of an overcomable inconvenience than a deterent.
Overall, this is my first tablet and it has worked wonderfully to this point. Just remember to install the drivers or it will be very buggy.

I'm doing more and more retouching and trying to do it with a mouse was really frustrating. This makes it so much easier and quicker! Can't beat the price either - [$]. Good value for the money!

The Bamboo Capture Digital Tablet is great for what it promised. An easy tool to use with PhotoShop CS5, Lightroom, and other programs where you need to be procise when outlining items. It sure beats the mouse in accuracy and ease of use. It didn't take long to get the hang of and I've noticed a dramatic improvement in the quality of photo sculpting.

On my off time I spend most of it on my photoshop just messing around, nothing serious. Then I came across this bamboo capture on youtube. I was impressed but didn't think it would be worth buying since its just a hobby of mine. Couple weeks pass of being on the fence and finally I thought why not, give it shot. NO REGRETS. It really speeds up my workflow so I don't feel like my creativity is being sacrifice. I don't even use my pad on my laptop anymore. It's also awesome for picture galleries. I recommend this. But it's my first tablet so this is a recommendation for users who are just getting starting on photoshop or just a hobby. I have no experience in any pro level. I couldn't compare it to other devices. Works perfect for me!!

I may just be too attached to my mouse but I cannot use this thing as a tablet. It's just too clunky. I would however buy it just for the using the pen in CS5 programs. It gives much more control than a mouse. Well worth the money. The pad itself is the perfect size. I wouldn't want a larger one.

The tablet section itself isn't as smooth as it could be, but it's not a big deal. Also wish the pen had the eraser end instead of having to switch to the eraser tool. I like the touch features though.

Used for editing photos with Lightroom 3 or CS5. Size is more than adequate for what I do, yet small enough to fit in the limited space on my desk.

I still using the 3 years old Bamboo and it still working well. This new Bamboo compare to the older version. This current one not included the pen holder and mouse ! And the new Bamboo pen tip is thinner which is no problem.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Capture Digital Tablet (Silver):
This is my first tablet. I purchased it for photo work in Lightroom and Photoshop. It took a few days to get used to using a stylus instead of a mouse, but after a week, I no longer use a mouse for anything. The stylus is a much more precise tool.
The Bamboo Capture is a good size for photo editing, but is still compact and doesn't crowd your work surface. The silver color goes perfectly with my IMac and MacBook Air.
I have not used another tablet for functional comparison, but this product seems to be very precise and comfortable to use. I am very pleased with this purchase.
