The Barska AY11374 Digital Microscope with 3.5 TFT Color Screen is a budget-friendly solution for those looking to investigate their world. Unlike traditional microscopes, the AY11374's defining feature is a 3.5" LCD. This color screen allows for viewing by multiple individuals. In addition to the display screen, the microscope also has a built-in 5Mp digital camera with 4x digital zoom. The camera allows for still and video capture, along with storage to either the 64MB internal memory or to optional SD memory cards.
This compound microscope provides 40x, 100x, 160x, 400x, and 1600x magnification and three objective lenses on a revolving turret at 4x, 10x, and 40x. Dual light sources illuminate specimens either via oblique LED or transmitted light, and a 6 position color wheel allows for enhancing levels of detail for transparent specimens. Included with the AY11374 are prepared and blank slides, a USB cable, a power cord, a hard carrying case, and software that works with Windows Vista or XP.
