The IdeaPad Z570 1024-9UU 15.6" Notebook Computer (Gunmetal Gray) from Lenovo is a notebook computer with plenty of power for handling your business and multimedia needs. It features a 15.6" LED-backlit display with a 1366 x 768 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also features a 6-cell battery, which can power it for up to 5 hours between charges. For navigating on your computer, you can comfortably type with the chiclet keyboard, which includes a number pad, or mouse with the touchpad.
For those times when you'd like to watch video content on a larger screen, the IdeaPad supports Intel's Wireless Display technology, which allows you to connect to an HDTV wirelessly. You'll need the optional Netgear Push2TV accessory to utilize this technology. For wired connectivity to an HDTV, the notebook features an HDMI output. For connecting to an external computer monitor, there's also a VGA port.
The computer is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU that can be overclocked to operate at the speed of 3.1GHz via Intel's Turbo Boost Technology. Also, this computer features 6GB of RAM, a 750GB hard drive, a CD/DVD burner, and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics. It boasts 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and a Fast Ethernet port for connecting to the Internet. It also supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR so you can wirelessly connect nearby compatible peripherals, such as a mouse, speakers, an external hard drive, and more.
For transferring files to the computer from your camera or camcorder, there is an integrated memory card reader that supports five different formats: MultiMedia Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Secure Digital Card, xD-Picture Card. A combination eSATA/USB port is good for connecting high-speed external storage. Plus, three USB 2.0 ports are included for connecting other peripherals. For added multimedia and chatting fun, the system features dual 2W speakers, an integrated mic, and a webcam with 0.3MP resolution. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

We purchased this computer 1 month ago, it was working well then suddenly had an issue with the keyboard, we spoke to lenovo who requested the computer back to be fixed and have now told us it will take another 3months before they will be able to replace the part. So far a very painful experience.

This is a very good computer, I was just surprised ath the size (bigger than I thought) and the color (it is purple/eggplant color, not grey). It is good for word processing and internet. Solid, quality computer.
