The TDK 50GB Rewriteable Dual Layer Professional Disc for XDCAM is a blue laser optical disc designed to work with Sony XDCAM HD and XDCAM systems.

The professional disc has a 50GB capacity, a transfer rate of 72Mbps per head / 144 Mbps with two heads, and is built durable with an advanced cartridge design and with TDK`s DURABIS PRO hard coating technology.

It is readable more than 1,000,000 times, is rewriteable, and functions on a high-sensitivity phase change recording material to produce stable recording and playback after more than even 10,000 overwrites. And it is certified for a 50 year archival.
