Comments about Acer Aspire S Series Ultrabook S3-951-6646 13.3" Notebook Computer:
I like the size and weight of this version. Battery life is reasonable and it starts almost instantly from sleep mode. I have photoshop on this and it works very well, so no memory slacker.
As most of other ultrabooks you will need an external dvd drive and keyboard is not that great for serious typing.

Comments about Acer Aspire S Series Ultrabook S3-951-6646 13.3" Notebook Computer:
Acer Aspire s3 laptop is a nice light laptop, it runs at a very useable speed. With the Intel I5 processor and the 4 gig of memory I never find myself short of ram and processing power. I am using it primarily as a student laptop so I have not tested it in a gaming environment. However running Microsoft office 2010, in addition to the other applications required by my school it keeps up to speed. The first issue I noted with this laptop was the color settings. My teacher would e-mail spreadsheets out to the class. These sheets had graphs on them whose colors would blend together so that I could not tell one from the other. I looked at the same spread sheet on other systems and could definitely see that there should have been a color difference. I attempted to adjust the color settings but, no luck. That I could live with the color issue since I am not a gamer. However the big deal breaker for me is the network card. It keeps dropping network connectivity, and then acting like it can't see any wireless networks at all. I have to reboot the system before it will detect any wireless networks. I have called Acer on this and they want me to send it back to them. I can't be without my laptop during school for a week, there is no way I would ever catch up on the homework assignments. I have had this laptop for about 5 weeks now; I do not think I can send it back. But If I could it would be gone. I would not recommend this laptop to anyone. FYI, I did go on their website and update the drivers per the trouble shooting steps. I didn't make any difference.

Comments about Acer Aspire S Series Ultrabook S3-951-6646 13.3" Notebook Computer:
I purchased the Ultrabook S3 as a travel computer but after I brought it home, my office notebook went into the shop for a little tune up so I got to get familiar with the S3 very quickly. I am quite impressed with the speed of the S3. It boots quickly as well.
One knock I read about the S3 was the keyboard. I have had many notebooks over the years and, while this keyboard is a different style, it is actually one of the better ones. I have allowed other people to play with the S3 and got the same reaction: very good keyboard.
One oddity, however, is the way it holds an SD card...with about half of it sticking out. As this machine does not have a huge hard drive (about 280 gb), I would expect to occasionally want to travel with additional files on a large SD card. While it's useable this way, it is annoying as I'll have to remove the SD card every time I pack up the machine.

This is a great ultrabook. It is as light and thin as an apple air, but it is Windows 7. It is as small as a netbook, but it is a powerful notebook.
Hope it has backlight as apple air.

Comments about Acer Aspire S Series Ultrabook S3-951-6646 13.3" Notebook Computer:
This is my daily tool for everything I do, business, entertainment, shopping and etc. So far I sometime heard the fan noise quite loud. I tried Webroot and then the keyboard could not function at all. I could not even to log in the laptop anymore and I had to restore it to factory's settings and wiped out everything. I tried to use the business location's network printer, but there is no network cable port to connect this laptop to. It is a pain to print something at work.
Other than the above mentioned. I think it is light weight and convenient. Speed-wise, it is okay.
