High Dynamic Range Tools

The HDR (high dynamic range) tools are completely redesigned to give you more control over your results and help you take full advantage of photos taken with auto-bracketing features on DSLRs.

· Exposure Merge lets you customize how photos with different exposures are combined-create stunning, perfectly exposed images from those high-contrast backlit scenes, such as sunsets and interior window shots. Use the built-in presets to adjust your images or save your own presets to achieve a custom, uniform look across a series of HDR photos.

· Batch Merge lets you merge multiple bracketed sets of photos. If you use your auto-bracket feature often, this is an invaluable tool for processing HDR sets quickly. In some cases, you'll be happy with the auto-generated results. In other cases, you'll discover a beautiful result that you want to customize in Exposure Merge.

Photo Blend

Combine photos of the same scene to remove, swap, or add details in the final image. For example, remove cars and people from a street scene, swap in the best smiles from a series of group photos, and creatively include multiple versions of the same person in one image.

Selective Focus Effect

Selective focus lets you create a quick miniature effect (also called a Tilt-Shift effect), transforming a real scene into a toy-like miniature model. You can also use Selective Focus to bring attention to important parts of your images - it's perfect for blurring out busy details surrounding your subjects.

Vignette Effect

A classic effect that lets you bring attention to the most important part of your photos by applying a soft, faded border around the outer edge of photos.

Fill Light and Clarity Filter

Fill Light almost magically brightens shadow areas of photos, without affecting other areas of the photo. Clarity enhances subtle yet important details, increasing the texture and depth in photos.

Built-in Sharing to Facebook and Flickr

Share to Facebook or Flickr with the click of a button. The sharing options are in the Organizer palette, so they are available from any workspace.

Camera RAW Lab

The Camera RAW Lab has a larger preview area and improved histogram feedback that makes it easier to assess your adjustments. New highlight recovery options mean that you can often reconstruct detail in overexposed areas.

Tabbed Workspaces

The application has been redesigned so you can move easily between photo workflows. Click the tabs at the top of the application window to switch workspaces. The Manage workspacegives you all the power to review and organize your photos, as well as access multi-photo processing options. The Adjust workspace puts commonly-used editing tools at your fingertips. Finally, the Edit workspace provides you with a full range of professional-level editing tools. No matter which workspace you're in, the Organizer palette is always there-no need to go to a separate workspace or application to find more photos.

Enhanced Overall Performance

With new performance updates including GPU optimizations, Corel PaintShop Pro X4 is faster than previous versions. Effects including Noise Reduction, Vibrancy and Tone Mapping can now be applied in real time.

Enhanced Full-screen Review

Quick Review lets you review your photos in a full-screen preview window. The feature has been redesigned to focus on speed and simplicity. You can quickly review, delete, rotate, and rate your photos.
