Comments about Iomega 1TB eGo Portable Hard Drive, Mac Edition (Black):
I've been using Iomega eGo drives for several years to build and store video projects. They all have been totally reliable. This 1TB dive so far is the same.
By comparison some other drives I use (Western Digital and Seagate)have been a little glitchy - sometimes won't mount to the desktop or disengage after being alseep.

Comments about Iomega 1TB eGo Portable Hard Drive, Mac Edition (Black):
1TB eGo Portable Hard Drive, Mac Edition (Black) by Iomega: I returned a Toshiba external HD that although touted to be Mac compatible (iMac w/ Lion OS), it wasn't. Or, it was defective. I then got this Iomega, which was a bit more expensive, but well worth the price. B & H's price for it was significantly less than other sources. Its installation took about 30 seconds and it's worked flawlessly with "Time Machine" ever since. I'm very happy with it.

Comments about Iomega 1TB eGo Portable Hard Drive, Mac Edition (Black):
I bought the hard drive for my son at college. We we're looking for a product that would work with the lion operating system without any problems. He had it up and working within 5 min. out of the box. Free delivery was incredible. I ordered it around midnight on Wednesday and he had it mid afternoon on Friday.

Comments about Iomega 1TB eGo Portable Hard Drive, Mac Edition (Black):
For backups while traveling, this drive is reliable and quick. The rubber cradle provides added protection. Slightly larger than some of the newest laptop drives, if you care about preserving your data, the investment seems worth it. Two less expensive, smaller, lightweight plastic drives (Seagate and Toshiba) failed me recently.

One cable to your computer. No power adapter necessary = Awesome. Small, sleek, comes with a case. Say no more.
