The ultra-compact ENVY 114 e-All-In-One Printer from HP prints, scans, and copies without taking up valuable space on your desktop. Most of the printer's operations can be carried out right from the 3.45" touchscreen. Make photocopies, print images from a memory card, scan a document or photo, and use the touchscreen to access the internet and print web content, all without a computer. The paper tray even fully retracts into the unit, giving the Envy a small footprint.

The printer was a breeze to set up. I installed the driver on my PC with the provided CD which basically automated the entire network setup process. For the other PC and MAC I sent a document to the printer, selected find new printer from the print screen and it found the envy printer over the network and installed the software itself. All told set up took less than 15 minutes for two pcs and a mac.
My one knock, adding paper is kind of a pain and I don't like the lack of a sheet feed option which I used when I wanted to print on the other side of scrap paper. To do that now I need to slide out the tray, put in the scrap paper print and then take the scrap paper back out. Kind of a pain but otherwise a great printer.

This printer has been great, though I gave it 4 stars because of the touch screen, it is not sensitive and sometimes have to press it a few times to get it to go. Though overall this printer has done what is expected, and if compact is what your looking for this is perfect, set up to wireless network was a breeze and prints very clean.

i bought this printer because i needed a color printer to occasionally print color documents and it is compact and fits in the space i have for the printer. i also bought it for the e-fax function as i barely ever fax anymore--only on occasion. through the free e-fax feature, you can send 20 pages and receive 20 pages each month without a telephone line. that's more than adequate for my needs and saves me the money of having a dedicated phone line for my fax. the printer prints beautifully AND does double-sided printing, a big bonus for me as that saves paper. i had no problems with it connecting to my network and it is a breeze to print to this printer from any source--whether my desktop, laptop, ipad or iphone. my ONLY hangup with this printer--and i'm not yet sure it's an actual defect or if this is just the way the printer is--is the touchscreen is very unresponsive. it is extremely difficult to input information into the printer, which luckily after setup is something i rarely if ever do. when you touch the number or letter on the keypad, it doesn't always respond. you have to push multiple times and then sometimes it will input the number/letter multiple times when you just push it once and you have to go back and delete the extra characters. very frustrating. i am thinking about exchanging this for another printer (of the same kind--because again, i really like this printer), but the thought of having to re-input all the network information on that horrid touchscreen is enough to make me think long and hard before i decide to do it given that it functions perfectly other than that (especially if the unresponsive touch screen is simply the way the printer is). i'm curious to know if others are having this problem or if it is just me??

Placed the printer on the main floor of my home near an outlet. Plugged it in and installed the drivers on my laptop. No need to directly connect to the printer. Ran the setup to connect the printer to the wireless network and within 15 minutes was able to start scanning and printing.
The most interesting feature is the wireless printing from my phone(Blackberry). Once you setup the email address I can print emails while I am on the road and they are sitting on the printer when I get home for a little reminder that I need to take care of some business.
Scanning is easy to do on the touch screen or from my laptop. The only thing it is missing is an auto document feeder(ADF). Do not consider this a negative as I did not expect the need to scan multiple pages at a time. Resolution is good from the scans.
The size is another plus as it is not an eye soar sitting on an end table. Barely notice it is there. It is quiet and unless you are right next to it you cannot hear the printing or scanning of the pages
