The Pioneer HDJ-500T-K Professional DJ Headphones are designed to provide DJs, studio engineers, performers and casual listeners alike, with the standard of audio quality, comfort and durability enjoyed by professionals. The HDJ-500T-K headphones feature comfortable, enclosed earcups for maximum comfort while minimizing extraneous sound. Its high output and sensitive low and mid frequency response aid in DJ mixing and recording applications. The earcups feature a swiveling action for single ear monitoring. Interchangeable coiled and straight cables are included. The straight cable on the HDJ-500T-K features a microphone, call and answer button for hands-free use while connected to a cell phone.

If you are looking for headphones that you can use with your iPhone while on the bus or behind your controller when you are making a mix, look no further. The two chords included with the headphones are perfect for each task (although the chord with the inline mic feels like it might be just a tad shorter than the stock iPhone earbuds.
What's great:
-Best sound you are going to get around this price point -- and you can really turn them up without distortion.
-Great sound clarity with the mic.
-Chords 'screw' in with a twist so they will not pull out on accident.
-iPhone chord plugs into the phone with this elongated plug that will fit any case, even the really thick ones.
What's not so great:
-The inline remote for your iPhone is not perfect. First, there's no volume control, and I do miss that. Second, the button used to play/pause, double tap for 'next', and triple tap for 'previous' works OK... most of the time. In some rare occassions it can be glitchy and I cannot figure out why. It's not the end of the world though -- I remember a time when I never had remote for my iPhone anyway...
Other thoughts:
-At first they seem pretty darn tight on your ears and may tire you out after an hour or two. Give them time to wear in. After a week of daily use they broke-in really nicely and now they are so comfortable I forget that they are on my head.
-The build quality is alright. Moderate use should be no problem but they definitely wont take beating of a touring DJ.
-I would recommend these to any DJ that wants some good headphones on a budget that also double for daily use -- and I do use these every day on the bus.

The 500 T-k gives me great clarity in talking using Skype and wonderful sound with deep base while silencing the outside world so I can get lost in my music or movies.
