The QuickBooks Premier Contractor 2012 Software from Intuit is a bookkeeping application for Windows, specifically suited to the needs of contractors. It allows you to keep your business organized so that you can streamline your workflow and save money. For instance, you can organize your job costs by vendor, create an estimate of how much a job will cost, track the actual costs versus the estimate, analyze a job's profitability, bill clients progressively by different criteria, track non-job related expenses and more.

Beyond these more particular features, a few more general innovations within QuickBooks Premier are worth highlighting. As a means of staying organized, QuickBooks Premier's Inventory Center allows you to see all your inventory-related tasks, reports, or notes in one place. Similarly, in Calendar View, you can get an at-a-glance listing of invoices, billing, past transactions, and more. The Document Center allows you to save all pertinent documents related to invoices or customers, thereby saving you time when you need to file taxes. For sales, you can keep track of leads in the Lead Center and quickly move the info to the Customer Center when that lead becomes a customer.

As a means of working faster, this version of QuickBooks Premier Contractor lets you process invoices and timesheets in batches.
