SM Pro Audio HP6E 6-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier

The HP6E 6-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier from SM Pro Audio is a professional-quality headphone amplifier that allows up to 6 users to listen to the same audio sources, ideal for live or studio monitoring, signal distribution, individual mixing, and more. The amp has a slim metal chassis that can be installed in any standard 19" equipment rack. Inside, there are 6 individual Class-A amplifier circuits, each of which delivers terrific audio quality and clarity with a wide frequency response and low distortion.

The rear panel has 4 main stereo inputs, each with a pair of 1/4" connectors for separate left/right channel input. There is also a 5th "mix" input, which can be mixed into each headphone channel. A pair of 1/4" link outputs let you daisy-chain multiple HP6E units in order to create a larger multi-user system. The front panel has a 1/4" headphone jack for each amplifier channel for wide compatibility with a variety of headphones.

Every output channel has its own volume and mix knobs to control the overall signal volume, as well as how much of the 5th input comes through. Each output has a push-button digital input channel selector. LED indicator lights show which input is currently selected for a given headphone channel. Because the HP6E has internal flash memory, it can provide a last state memory recall after the amp is turned off and back on again, keeping each channel at its last input setting to reduce setup time from one session to another. The amp has a built-in power supply, eliminating the need for bulky and unsightly power bricks and wall adapters. The unit also has a selectable operating voltage for international use.
