The SM Pro Audio SMADAT Output Option is compatible with either the EP84 8-Channel Mic Preamp or the OC8E 8-Channel Optical Compressor. It easily installs, features a Word Clock input and output, and supports selectable 44.1 or 48 kHz sample rates. The SMADAT provides pristine 24-bit digital conversion of your EP84 or OC8E analog preamps to an ADAT digital format stream. This is ideal if you want to use an ADAT compatible mixer, multi-track recorder, ADAT PC audio card, or other professional ADAT compatible device.
Plus, many digital recording interfaces feature both analog and digital connectivity. And, if you happen to be limited to eight analog sources at a time, the 8-channel SMADAT digital ADAT format input can be used for additional inputs. By connecting the ADAT output to your EP84 ADAT input, your system gains another eight channels of high-quality input.
