I've owned just about every generation of the iPod and I've never been disappointed. Sure, I could have an iPhone with many of the same features but I've never been one to combine my primary phone with my music and video library. This 4th generation iPod makes me wonder what else could be in the Apple iPod pipeline as I can't imagine anything that could improve much on this device. The 32GB storage is more than enough to handle the 5 to 10 full length movies I like to take with me on trips plus my entire music library. I've also got plenty of room left over for applications as well as video and pictures of the family. By the way, the video camera functions surprisingly well with typical indoor lighting. Buy this iPod and you won't be disappointed!

I received my online order in less than a week. I love the ipod because this was purchased for my soon to be 12 year old daughter's birthday. You can easily block unwanted music, videos and other apps. I also can set my password to keep these unwanted items locked so I don't have to worry about her watching it while I'm not around. It is very easy to use because i am about average when it comes to technology. overall I would reccommend these over the ipad which is way over what my personal budget can afford. It has all the features an ipad has and the camera is wonderfull! The pictures are clean and colorful, plus it automatically saves them for you. This is a great product if your not ready to give your child a phone but they want all of the apps a smart phone has.

This was gift for my technologically challenged girlfriend. She uses it to play music from iCloud and the internet (Pandora) on a Panasonic combination cradle and clock/radio. Her daughter is an iPhone user and helps her with any technical problems.
It has worked out very well. I hope she will learn to use other applications including Skype and Safari and become more technoloically literate.

The Ipod Touch is a great product for someone that wants a smartphone but does not want to pay all that extra money for the data plan. I bought this for my 12 years old and she got the hang of it real fast. One thing you, as a parent, learn equally fast is how dependent on iTunes this thing is and, by definition, how easy it is to spend on games/music/video/etc thereafter. But it's a neat gadget, including a better than average video and still camera. Addictive.
