The XGA-resolution Sharp PG-F267X Short Throw DLP Projector is a powerful, versatile projector that's outfitted with a short-throw lens. A short throw lens, simply put, can project a larger picture at a shorter distance from the screen than a conventional lens can. They're ideal for smaller conference rooms, classrooms and living rooms.
Short throw lenses are also preferred for rear projection setups where space behind the screen is at a premium. For example, the PG-F267X can project an image that measures five feet diagonally from as little as 31.5 inches away.
But the PG-F267X can do lot more than make big pictures in tight spaces. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international 100 – 240 volt 50/60 Hz power supply and it can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. And speaking of international, its onscreen display (OSD) offers your choice of 17 languages. The PG-F267X is also compatible with a many Macintosh and PC resolution/sync rates plus 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition. And it provides closed captioning from programming sources that provide it.
Being closer to the screen means you can get a brighter image. With 2500 lumens and a 2200:1 contrast ratio you know you'll get a vivid, lifelike image. A closer projector also helps minimize the presenter's shadow from getting in the way and the projector lamp shining in the presenter's eyes.
The projector's 0.55 inch DMD DLP (Digital Micromirror Device Digital Light Processor) panel by Texas Instruments can take the credit for the stunning images the PG-F267X can project. It features an innovation TI calls BrilliantColor. Unlike other technologies such as LCD that use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP Technology with BrilliantColor uses up to six separate colors.
BrilliantColor not only improves color accuracy, it brightens secondary colors as well. This combination produces a new level of color performance that increases the brightness of the colors by up to 50 percent over DLP projectors without BrilliantColor for accurate, true-to-life images. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be cleaned and replaced, which saves you time and money and, in the case of a permanent ceiling installation possibly some skinned knuckles.
With the PG-F267X's RJ45 jack you can monitor and control one or a whole fleet of them via a Web browser anywhere on your local network (LAN). You also set up the PG-F267X to email you status reports.

- TI's patented DLP imager features an innovation it calls BrilliantColor. - Short Throw Design
- Thanks to this unique design, a 100-inch diagonal image can be projected at a distance of only 51.2 inches from the screen and a 60-inch diagonal image can be projected at only 31.5 inches from the screen. This virtually eliminates concerns with shadows on the screen caused by the presenter being in the light path of the projector, and the projector lamp shining in the eyes of the presenter. Additionally, this short-throw design is ideal for interactive presentations, and simplifies projector placement in classrooms and meeting rooms, trade show exhibits and other venues with limited space.
- Flexible Projector Placement
- The PG-F267X can be ceiling or wall-arm mounted, or operated on a table top or AV cart. Additionally, the projector offers the option of being used in either front-projection or rear-projection configuration.
- International Power Supply and World Video Standards Plus HDTV
- The PG-F267X is as useful on the international scene as it is here at home. It has a 100 V AC to 240 V AC power supply and it works with the NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-N, PAL-M, PAL-60 and SECAM video standards. It's also a high definition projector that can display 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions.
- Wide Complement of Input/Output Terminals
- Inputs include HDCP Compliant DVI-I (analog/digital), RGB/Component, S-Video, Composite, and Stereo Audio (x2). Outputs are provided for RGB Loop-through and Stereo Variable Audio Line-Out. Control and communications terminals include RJ-45 LAN, USB for mouse control and RS-232C.

- Presentation Assist Functions
- You can use the remote control for more than just advancing slides, including page up/down, GUI (Graphic User Interface) pointer, spotlight and mouse control. The pointer offers a choice of five on-screen icons; The spotlight function highlights boxes or rows of information.
- Direct Power Off Switching
- This function lets you immediately unplug and move the projector. It also helps control the power for multiple projectors simultaneously by using the room's primary power switch in conjunction with the auto restart function.
- Shutter Door on Lamp Housing
- The lamp housing keeps glass confined in the event of lamp breakage. The user replaceable lamp assembly additionally offers front access for easy replacement.
- On-Screen Setup Guide and "Help" Function
- This function ensures easy setup and operation.
- Closed Captioning
- The PG-F267X can display closed captioning from programming sources that provide it. Closed captioning was developed to make TV more enjoyable and useful for the hard of hearing but it also comes in handy for those learning English as a second language.
