The National Optical & Scientific Instruments Model 111 Compound Microscope is a budget-friendly microscope designed for students from the elementary level through grade 9. Featuring DIN standard achromatic 4x, 10x, and 40xR objectives, the 111 provides young students with 40x, 100x, and 1000x magnification of specimens. The 45° inclined widefield 10x eyepiece is easy for students to see through. It also sits on a 360° rotatable viewing head, which makes for easy sharing.
Illumination of specimens is provided by a built-in 115V, 20W electric illuminator. Rack and pinion focusing ensures smooth, precise adjustments for clear, accurate images. Safety features work to prevent damage to the system - including damage from over focusing. When it comes to the stage the 111 has a 4 3/8 x 4 3/4" platform with locked-on, spring mounted clips.
