Comments about General Brand 120 Stainless Steel Reel:
This reel has just been maddening! I can't for the life of me get the film threaded completely. I get about 3/4ths of the film roll on the reel before either the film gets stuck or derailed. Terribly frustrating.

What may I say?! This is absolutely useless product. You simply may not use it. No way. I was trying to load film on this real hundreds of times - no chance. Quality of this product is less than zero. Two spirals are not in parallel with difference up to 4mm. I am ready to purchase 10 such reels to everyone who will load my reel with the film. I can to image how such serious shop may offer such a .... If you want to be totally shocked - purchase it. If you additionally consider huge shipment price (e.g. as twice more expensive as in other shops) you will probably start to understand my pain. Do not buy this - buy e.g. HEWES from [...].regards,

Comments about General Brand 120 Stainless Steel Reel:
Your [$] would be better spent toward a more expensive product. The braze points between the spiral reel and the straight arms are so large that they interfere with the film path, causing the film to derail about 3/4 of the way on. Even with experience loading other SS reels, I'm unable to load this cheaply manufactured kit.

This reel is garbage - don't waste your money. I bought 2 and neither of them held the film properly. I've used steel reels for years, this is by far the worst.
Comments about General Brand 120 Stainless Steel Reel:
I bought the less expensive reel and had to tweek it to make it so I could load my film on it. From now on I will look very closely at what I'm buying before I buy.

Comments about General Brand 120 Stainless Steel Reel:
Terribly made and from the looks of it, not inspected at all. I've gotten 2 bad ones out of 3. I bought the kit with the tank and 2 reels. One reel was okay the other had small beads of metal in between the coils and the film doesn't fall into place. Called them and they replaced it and the new one has the exact same problem.

Comments about General Brand 120 Stainless Steel Reel:
i had bought these reels thinking that they were just a basic 120 reel and there would be no need to buy a more expensive reel. i picked up two, and for starters the clips were designed in a way, that without bending them, you couldnt even clip the film. after getting passed that obstacle, the film wouldnt wind passed half. it seemed that in the same spot on both reels it was out of register. very poorly inspected and not recommended at all!
note: these general brand were actually "kalt" brand.
