Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
There is a bit of a learning curve to programming the remote, but your efforts will be rewarded.
Choose spouse acceptable names for the devices.
Maybe I haven't found it yet, but it would be nice to have the remote learn the button presses in a sequence to program an activity.
I was forced to do a bit of fine adjustments of the two remotes to get the Harmony to "learn" the signal of the original remotes.
It is a bit frustrating to continually hit the help button to get the activity input or power straight.
The flip side of that criticism is the depth to which you can go to program the buttons. The button names in the database did not always work for me, so I added names that meant more to me.
You get there in the end and it sure is fabulous to declutter the coffee (read beer) table. Beer was the enemy of the factory remote for my TV, brother-in-law!!! This remote was my best choice to replace it.
Logitech must knows that this is an investment for some people, so they offer you an opportunity to search for your devices online before you buy. Even though my TV is somewhat obscure, it was there in the database. That single support feature won me over even before I bought it.
If you have ever priced a replacement remote for your HDTV, you know that this Harmony 700 Universal Remote is competitively priced and packed full of "tweak-ability." Stealing from Jim Carrey I "Laik alo-t."

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
This is the 4th harmony I have set up. Once you get the hang of the menuing of the setup website, It gets easier each time. Some things I had to "fake out" the menuing to customize. While some obscure features of my devices were not worth the time, all in all it has virtually eliminated everything else but the WII wand. I have a 700 and like that it lights up when you pick it up except for the programmed TV and DVD buttons which seems odd. Also you can't reorder the activites on the screen. Minor annoyances to be sure but it would have been ice.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
I do a lot of research before I buy any products and this one was no exception. I have 6 components that I needed to control from one device and this remote has done the job. When everything comes on and you can change the channels on your set top box, turn up the volume on your surround system then watch a DVD without touching another remote you will have a big smile on your face every time you use it. It has one minor issue that has not affected it's performance. After it's fully charged the small color screen will display this message, "Insert Batteries" Logitech is working on a solution so at least they are aware of it. I highly recommend this product and B&H had the best price on the net. Shipping was flawless and I will be buying more products from here in the future.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
This updated version 2 now controls 8 devices, not the 6 as stated which the previous version did. Evidently B&H didn't update the info and specs pages. That being said and as the only difference, this remote is awesome. It does everything it says it does.
This is an upgrade from an older Harmony remote that I had and this is even better than the older models (which were great to begin with). This is even easier to program than my older one. A couple of tweeks to recognize 1 or 2 commands it didn't pick up from the originals and it was ready to roll. Had everything programmed in & up and running in 15 minutes.
One touch activity buttons let you program different activities like watch tv or listen to music into the remote. Push the button and everything in that activity will turn on and to the correct input and settings.
Hands down the best electronic investment I've made.
