Not only for small cameras.
I just put my SB-700 speed light along with a PocketWizard Flex TT5 on one of these Geckos and mounted it all on a wall mirror. And it stayed there.
For those occasions when you gonna shoot in an urban setting and you know there will be windows around, you don't need to drag your tripods or boons around anymore.

I went to B&H on 1-8-12 with my mind dead set on buying not only the suction cup for my GoPro, but a Delkin fat gecko (dual Suction cup.) While speaking to the sales man, he brought up the fact that he had the Stealth single suction cup mount and that he loved it, so i chose to buy it and see how it worked out...in 1 word, AMAZING!
Everyone says that these need to be mounted on a clean flat surface so obviously i chose not to, and wanted to see what it could do. i attached my Zoom H4N and then mounted the suction cup to my dusty convex skylight window ON 1-8-12! today is 1-17-12 and it is still there! I still cannot pull it off.
I live in NYC and within the past week, the temperature has ranged from upper 40s in the day all the way down into the teens just last Sunday,many say that the actual suction cup doesn't do well in low temperatures because the rubber will get brittle, I don't know how low they were testing it but at 17 degrees it held on strong. I have never written a product review but after purchasing this little mount, i felt compelled to let the world know! Its GREAT!

Held very well for entire surf session, using a Lumix TS2 camera. The camera leaked a couple drops though, no fault of the mount.
