What can I say it's a USB 3.0 CF Card Reader and it works great. I was one of those who waited to long to buy a CF card reader, and Firewire went off the market. When I finally got a new computer, I ditched the old USB 2.0 reader for this one, and man what a difference. Hours turned to minutes, minutes to seconds. It also stylishly goes with my editing PC, so just another plus. It's plug and play and recognizes the card immediately, no lag time waiting for the PC to catch on.

I really like Hoodman products but I noticed the transfer/status light remains on even when the data has completed the transfer. I figured this was normal but lacking. I learned that Hoodman resolved the issue with this device but mine still shows the blue status light on regardless of status. I lost the packaging so I can't return it directly to B&H so I'm screwed.
Hoodman will take care of the exchange but I have to pay for shipping to them. Since it still works for its intended purpose I'm keeping it to avoid shipping costs and not having a backup reader (yet). Word to the wise is to not discard/lose any packaging until well after the warranty period. I'm usually very good about this but you know the deal on Murphy's Law.

Nice compact card reader with great design. Only issues I have with it are the cards don't slide in/out so smoothly. File downloads from card to computer is relatively quick.
