The SBC-06D1S-U Blue External Blu-Ray Reader and DVD/CD Writer from Asus is a sleek, external DVD/CD writer and Blu-Ray reader for use with your computer. It's capable of reading Blu-Ray discs at up to 6x speeds. It's capable of write speeds of up to 8x for DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW discs. It's also capable of write speeds of up to 24x for CD-R and CD-RW discs. It features a USB 2.0 port for connecting to your computer.
As an added, more advanced feature, you can encrypt the discs that you burn. You can also easily burn discs with the "Drag-and-Burn" software interface on your computer. The drive is bundled with Cyberlink Power2Go, TurboEngine, and E-Green software.
