Get ready for incredible 3D action right in your own home with Samsung's SSG-3050GB 3D Active Glasses (Battery Operated). These glasses work by responding to a sync signal transmitted by compatible Samsung 3D TVs. Many times per second, faster than the eye can perceive, the HDTV shows the image meant for the left eye and then the image for the right eye. The glasses alternately block first one eye then the other. It all happens so fast that your brain sees a 3D image. The glasses are battery operated and compatible with Samsung 3D TV LED series D6400 and up and plasma D490 and up.

The glasses are comfortable and the 3d is excellent. The room should be dark so you don't get light leakage from around the frame. It loses 1 star because the on/off indicator does not work. Samsung replaced the glasses but the new ones have the same problem. If they don't turn off the battery can drain. They do turn off automatically after the tv is turned off, but if the tv is left on, the battery will drain.

These are as cheap as their price. If you really can't afford anything better, they do work. But I recommend going with a better model like the SSG-3700. These aren't rechargeable and require watch battery. The lenses are small, and they don't always sit straight. Glad these were a free gift with my TV purchase and the TV came with the better glasses. These will only get used when extra people come over.

The glasses work as designed - to view 3D (via Bluetooth) on compatible Samsung TV's. They're well made. The detachable nose-piece lets those who wear glasses don the 3D specs more easily. They might benefit from side-shields, as other Samsung glasses have, but the lack of them doesn't decrease their effectiveness significantly. Recommended.

These glasses are very straight and not overly large and therefor let in a lot of side light which is distracting. I find myself holding my hands up to the sides of the glasses to block out light. Use in a dark room.

reasonably comfortable and the glasses can be used to turn 2D images into 3D with my TV. they're not the most stylish set of frames i've ever set on my face, but i rarely go out in public wearing them, anyway

We got these as part of a set with the plasma TV's. I thought they would have been flimsy. However we have been using them nonstop and the batteries have not died. Also they seem to be kid proof as I have found them tossed around, and even the ear piece fallen off. They simply snap back in. Great glasses.

These are as cheap as their price. If you really can't afford anything better, they do work. But I recommend going with a better model like the SSG-3700. Produces good looking 3D on Samsung sets. I own PN59D7000F 3D TV. Problem is that these glasses are not big enough to cover peripheral view. I think the discontinued SSG3100GB glasses are better. Wearing these over my prescription glasses is uncomfortable.

Glasses work great and I really like the pop-up on the TV that says the glasses are connected. The reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is that I wear glasses and they don't fit over top of my glasses even though they are advertised as wearable over glasses
