Bower Professional Battery Grip for Nikon D3100/D5100 Cameras
The Bower Professional Battery Grip for Nikon D3100/D5100 Cameras provides the power you need for the Nikon D3100 or D5100 SLR digital camera with two EN-EL14 rechargeable, high-capacity batteries. In addition, the battery pack provides a vertical shutter release that makes holding the camera in the vertical orientation as easy and secure as in the horizontal position. A wireless infrared remote control transmitter is included, which can extend battery power. The battery grip has a built-in infrared sensor. The transmitter includes the CR-2025 to operate it. The EN-EL14 batteries for the grip are not included.

I use it for all of my event photos and the rapid shutter helps alot. It fits perfectly into by bag, is not heavy and is easy to hold.

Just bought this and I'm way happier with it than I thought I would be. It fits my D5100 perfectly and Ive had no problems or errors so far.
Although the grip doesnt have any rubber grip on it, the coating matches the camera perfectly and provides quite sufficient grip as it is.
As mentioned in the review before this, the battery in the remote was dead, but it's no big deal. Probably won't use it anyway.

I needed extra battery capacity for extended shooting away from the charger. The Bower grip enabled me to increase shooting by approximately 40%. Added a better "feel" to the camera with 50-300 tele. Remote works at short frontal distances. However, the battery provided for remote was dead, which is why only 3 stars.
