The 13.3" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer from Apple is a powerful notebook computer with an innovative aluminum unibody design. It is loaded with advanced power management features and an integrated battery, which work together to provide up to 7 hours of wireless web browsing.
You may notice an unfamiliar logo next to one of the ports on the left side of the system. This is Thunderbolt, a high-speed interface that can move data at an amazing 10Gbps, which is double that of USB 3.0. The Thunderbolt port also doubles as a display output because it shares the same physical form factor as a Mini DisplayPort. You can daisy-chain up to six devices, so you'll be able to connect high-speed external storage and an external Apple LED Cinema display via the same port!
The computer's 13.3" display features LED backlight technology and a glossy finish. Its 1280 x 800 native resolution gives you ample screen space to work with. You'll be able to output to an external display at up to 2560 x 1600 via Thunderbolt. Any Mini DisplayPort-compatible display will plug in without the need of an adapter. If you have a display with DVI, VGA or HDMI input, you'll only need to purchase an adapter cable (i.e., HDMI-to-Mini DisplayPort) for connection.
You'll be able to communicate with friends and family thanks to built-in support for FaceTime chat. The computer's FaceTime HD camera supports 720p HD video chat via the included app. You can make video calls to other Mac users with FaceTime as well as to anyone with an iPhone 4, iPhone 4S or an iPod touch model with a built-in camera.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 processor. The computer is loaded with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 5400rpm hard drive and a SuperDrive DVD burner. You'll be able to connect to the Internet with ease via 802.11n Wi-Fi or wired Gigabit Ethernet. The MacBook Pro also features built-in Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, which allows you to connect wireless headphones, keyboard, mice and other compatible peripherals without a hassle.
Graphics are handled by integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, which gives you the best of both worlds in regards of battery life and performance. The MacBook Pro uses integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics for everyday use, such as web browsing and word processing. It is also capable of HD video playback.
The computer features a comfortable backlit chiclet-style keyboard, which features space between each key for improved accuracy and comfort when typing. It also sports a glass Multi-Touch trackpad with a clickable design. Rather than having a separate button for mouse clicks, the entire surface of the pad is clickable. This increases the active surface area and allows you to quickly click without having to maneuver to the bottom of the trackpad.
The trackpad also fully supports Multi-touch gestures. You can tap the trackpad with one finger to click, tap with two fingers to right click, scroll through documents using two fingers, pinch to zoom, navigate through Safari or iPhoto with three-finger left and right swipes or use two fingers to rotate a photo or PDF.
iLife '11 has a complete suite of digital creativity applications. Easy enough for anyone to use, iLife '11 will help you edit your home movies, organize digital photos and compose original music. iLife '11 includes iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand.
The 64-bit Mac OS X Lion features Time Machine backup, which automatically backs up system data to an external hard drive. It also features intuitive Cover Flow navigation, the powerful Spotlight search tool and Quick Look document preview. You'll be able to use Boot Camp to run Windows on your Mac, if needed.

Comments about Apple 13.3" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
I was looking to upgrade my MacBook Pro 15" but I did not have the money at the time. I got an offer from Bill Me Later with an increase in my buying power. I checked out the same 13.3" MacBook Pro online, and they want $. So, I checked out the stores that work with Bill Me Later, and I found B&H, and I'm glad that I did find them first. I was able to get the 13.3" MacBook Pro, 8GB of Memory, and the Apple Remote, for under the total amount of the same computer. And the other good thing is that I have six-months interest free, which is good if I pay it off within that time. B&H sent it too me in a reasonable amount of time. The only thing that falls short, is that the display does not have antiglare on it, because it is made of glass and will reflect images when you look at it from different angles. Over all, it is worth the money and if you are thinking of buy one, do so, because once you buy this 13.3" MacBook Pro, you will never turn back!

I have been a MAC user ever since I can remember.
(Although this Laptop went to my Grandson as a gift.) He also
have an older Mac laptop that he always complain that is too slow
and outdated. Now no more complain and I think he is quite happy
about the speed as well and on his own word "AWESOME".

What can I say about Macs other than they are the most intuitive GUI and overall system there is on the planet. I spend more time getting my work done than getting it set up and managing it. I also spend less time wrangling virus protection apps and issues.
Tech support is incomparable to any I've experienced in my 10 years as a PC/Windows user,
Thanks to Apple for keeping the flame of easy to use computing.

Used this to process photographs I shoot with my 5D MK II. This laptop handles 5D Mark II RAW files just fine. Yes, it does get a little hot, especially in a country like India where I use it, but for the form factor and design, this product is worth the money.

Excellent computer. Very fast and sturdy. Best deal I found online. 13" screen is too small so I recommend another monitor for audio/video programs.

I have always owned a Dell computer, but own an iPhone, iPad, and apple TV. So I decided to try out a MacBook Pro and wow! It took a little getting used to but I absolutely love it. The programs run seamlessly, for me where I am not a computer genius that's a good thing. Seemed like Microsoft had issues running some programs...
Absolutely satisfied with my purchase, no negatives to report yet.

Made the switch from PC to Mac and i am so glad i did. I am a professional Club and Mobile DJ and was tired of having to install and update drivers on my PC. After several years of tuning and reconfiguring PCs for audio i finally decided to go Mac. All i can say is "WOW!!!" what a huge difference. Everything just works Flawless with the Mackbook Pro. Literally just Plug and Play. NO drivers to install, tweaking, tuning or reconfiguring at all. It is stable and reliable. As for the price, you can spend more to upgrade and customize a PC and still will not come close to the performance of a MacBook Pro straight out the box.(Trust me, i have tried. LOL) For those looking to make the switch from PC to Mac, just go for it. You will not regret it.

I've spent too much downtime dealing with PC's, so I can't afford to have anything other than a Mac. I love this computer because it's only 13" in size which is good when I'm traveling, yet it has FireWire which allows me to quickly upload video from my camera for editing. The only thing I recommend is that if you're doing editing you get extra RAM (8 GB or 16 GB). I talked with AppleCare and they said it takes 4 GB just to run Final Cut Pro.

I've been thinking of making the switch from PC to Mac for a while and i am so glad i did. Mac just offers a superior platform. I am a Professional DJ,Sound Installer and Engineer and needed something stable, reliable and hassle free. Macbook Pro offers just that. No more downloading drivers, configuring, reconfiguring, and tweeking just to get a PC running decent and stable enough to handle my music programs. Not to say you can't get a decent running system with a PC, it just takes time to configure and still might not be as stable as a Mac. I have an HP Envy with 256GB Solid State Hard Drive (SSD is far more stable than a regular HD) and 12GB of Ram, took out most of the programs i did not need, configured and tuned it to run primarily for Audio but still encountered on occassion some glitches, freeze ups associated with PCs. I will be ordering a 512GB SSD and 16GB of Ram Memory from Crucial soon. This will make my Macbook Pro even that much better. As for the price, i've read a lot of reviews of people complaining that Macbook Pros are pricey. For those of you thinking of making the switch or looking to buy a Mac think of this when making your decision. I bought an HP Envy 14 with a 256GB solid state hard drive (for faster and better HD reliability) and 12GB of ram, it cost over 2 grand and still did not perform like a Mac. Also, i bought my first laptop in 2000, it was a Compaq Presario with Pentium 3 processor, 20GB hard drive and 512MB of ram and cost me $2500. If you're thinking of getting a Macbook Pro just go for it, you will not regret it.

This makes my second Apple laptop computer. I love how the apple lets you have several different programs running at the same time, so you can switch from one to the other with ease. I realize there is a LOT to learn with this newer computer, but I like the challenge. I found the new features with the mouse pad infuriating at first... but with a review of the moves and practice its getting better. I'm very happy with my MacBook Pro Notebook.

This is a really nice machine that I got for my GF--especially paired with Lion. I ordered more RAM (8GB kit for [$]), and installed it myself following the instructions in the booklet that came with the Macbook. Highly recommend the i7 processors.Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to SSD technology for internal storage rather than the 5200 rpm harddrive that's in there now - but it seems to be doing pretty well regardless.Ran Photoshop with decent results for touching up, and creating 4096x4096px images with a few layers.

Comments about Apple 13.3" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
To be (embarrassingly) honest, one of the things that discouraged me about getting a Mac (in my many month internal debate) was the presumptuousness of the Mac users (per the forums I had to deal with from the iOS 4.0 update on my iPhone 3G). But thank God I was able to overcome that mental block.
I decided to pull the trigger to drop the zero and get with the hero **you're welcome, Vanilla Ice-someone still remembers you**. One of the HUGE features that sold me on the MacBookPro though, honestly, was the start up and shut down speed. Before I bought my MBP I timed my 1 year old PC and my girlfriend's 3 year old Mac for start up and shut down times. And, just a by-the-way, I've scientifically calculated that the age ratio of a PC to Mac and it is literally the same as dogs to humans. The Mac won hands down for each category. It took about 30 seconds for the Mac to start up vs. 5 mins 45 seconds for the PC. It took about 4 seconds to shut down the Mac and about 45 seconds for the PC to shut down. Going from a PC to a Mac was like going from a Hummer H3 to an Audi R8 on the autobahn. After comparing my girlfriend's 3 year old Macbook to my 1 year old PC laptop it was a no-brainer that I needed a Mac for myself. I left my 17" PC laptop for a 13" Macbook Pro.
Even opening the box was kinda cool. There was a little white "welcome" booklet that, on the cover, simply read, "Hello." It was just clean. Nice. Simple. As I am learning, that's just the way it is with Apple.
Now the task of getting all my files from my PC to my Mac. One of the options I was given was to simply move them from the PC to an external HD then from the external to the Mac. However, I don't have an external HD and after the Mac investment I wasn't able to just run to the store and get one. Another option was to take it to the Apple store and let them have it for a few days. But what fun is that? I just got a new Mac-I want to play. Another option was to use the Migration Assistant, but my PC was having troubles with that. My only other DIY option was to network my two computers (PC and Mac). I was a little intimidated just by the word network, but I was able to network my PC and Mac effortlessly. From there I just had to drag and drop all my folders/files from the PC to the Mac.
I bought the13.3", i7 processor w/4 gigs RAM (I'll probably add another 4 gigs soon because even though this computer is fast there's still room to go faster). My MBP not only processes day-to-day tasks, like streaming video, FaceTime, etc, it processes photo "effects" faster and can multi-task like a woman (that means it can multi-task very well). And the colors-Cheech and Chong never saw colors this like this! I can't wait to get a docking station and the 27" Thunderbolt display!! One of the downsides, however, is that there is not a direct HDMI port (to connect my laptop to my TV); You have to purchase an adapter and once you have the adapter you'll have to go through the System Settings on the Mac to set up the video and sound, but once you've done that you're good to go. It's just a little discouraging. "It just 'kinda' works." With that said, I love turning on my Mac (because it turns on when I want it to-I don't have to RSVP for the boot up session like my PC). Thank you Mr. Jobs, you'll be missed.
