International orders*The 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer from Apple is a powerful notebook computer with an innovative aluminum unibody design. It is loaded with advanced power management features and an integrated battery, which work together to provide up to 7 hours of wireless web browsing.
You may notice an unfamiliar logo next to one of the ports on the left side of the system. This is Thunderbolt, a high-speed interface that can move data at an amazing 10Gbps, which is double that of USB 3.0. The Thunderbolt port also doubles as a display output because it shares the same physical form factor as a Mini DisplayPort. You can daisy-chain up to six devices, so you'll be able to connect high-speed external storage and an external Apple LED Cinema display via the same port!
The computer's 15.4" display features LED backlight technology and an antiglare finish. Its 1680 x 1050 native resolution gives you ample screen space to work with. You'll be able to output to an external display at up to 2560 x 1600 via Thunderbolt. Any Mini DisplayPort-compatible display will plug in without the need of an adapter. If you have a display with DVI, VGA or HDMI input, you'll only need to purchase an adapter cable (i.e., HDMI-to-Mini DisplayPort) for connection.
You'll be able to communicate with friends and family thanks to built-in support for FaceTime chat. The computer's FaceTime HD camera supports 720p HD video chat via the included app. You can make video calls to other Mac users with FaceTime as well as to anyone with an iPhone 4, iPhone 4S or an iPod touch model with a built-in camera.
The system is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Intel Core i7 processor. The computer is loaded with AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512MB, a 500GB 5400rpm hard drive and a SuperDrive DVD burner. You'll be able to connect to the Internet with ease via 802.11n Wi-Fi or wired Gigabit Ethernet. The MacBook Pro also features built-in Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, which allows you to connect wireless headphones, keyboard, mice and other compatible peripherals without a hassle.
Graphics are handled by integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, which gives you the best of both worlds in regards of battery life and performance. The MacBook Pro uses integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics for everyday use, such as web browsing and word processing. It is also capable of HD video playback.
The computer features a comfortable backlit chiclet-style keyboard, which features space between each key for improved accuracy and comfort when typing. It also sports a glass Multi-Touch trackpad with a clickable design. Rather than having a separate button for mouse clicks, the entire surface of the pad is clickable. This increases the active surface area and allows you to quickly click without having to maneuver to the bottom of the trackpad.
The trackpad also fully supports Multi-touch gestures. You can tap the trackpad with one finger to click, tap with two fingers to right click, scroll through documents using two fingers, pinch to zoom, navigate through Safari or iPhoto with three-finger left and right swipes or use two fingers to rotate a photo or PDF.
iLife '11 has a complete suite of digital creativity applications. Easy enough for anyone to use, iLife '11 will help you edit your home movies, organize digital photos and compose original music. iLife '11 includes iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand.
The 64-bit Mac OS X Lion features Time Machine backup, which automatically backs up system data to an external hard drive. It also features intuitive Cover Flow navigation, the powerful Spotlight search tool and Quick Look document preview. You'll be able to use Boot Camp to run Windows on your Mac, if needed.

Comments about Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
This is my 4th MacBook Pro and it is the fastest one ever! I have been a dedicated Mac user since I bought the MacPlus back in 1986. There have been big changes since then, but the ease of operation, rock solid prformance and the only interface that truly works continues to impress! I prefer the matte screen because the glossy is hard to work with outdoors or in rooms with lots of windows. The screen quality is amazing and worth the extra money.

Comments about Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
I'm an event photographer at my job, and this laptop is perfect to carry around (super lightweight) and super fast. I installed Photoshop to it, and I can load photos and edit them instantly. I love, LOVE the anti-glare screen, never have to squint or move the screen around to see. The track-pad is genius. I love typing on this laptop. I can't complain; I used to have a PC and will never go back. Thank you Steve Jobs *looks up to the sky*

Comments about Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
The higher resolution of this model is nice, but the non-glare screen is what makes it the best mac out there right now. I wish they would come out with an iPad that has this.

The anti-glare screen is a godsend when shooting in the field, and the speed surpasses my (admittedly aged) Mac Pro.
A fantastic piece of essential kit.

Comments about Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
I bought this as an upgrade from the 2008 15" Macbook Pro with the 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo and WOW, can you notice a difference! It's blazing fast in comparison - I use intense programs such as Adobe CS5 Suite and Final Cut Pro and load times were cut in half. The matte screen is awesome for anyone who uses their computer in the light (nice accurate colors for photo manipulation too). I tested out the "7 hour" battery life the first week – Got 6 ½ hours on half backlight and browsing online (a lot better than 3-4 hours on my old MBP). Stuck with the base 4GB RAM, seems to be just fine for now. Anybody who has use a MBP in the last 5 years knows what to expect. If you're looking to upgrade from an old MBP, you won't be disappointed! Another point about the matte screen is the silver bezel, instead of the black with glass on the glossy screen. I personally love it, but other might not.

I'm a professional wedding photograher and also do a lot of destination weddings so it is very important to have a powerful notebook computer. After of 15 years of using PC i buy this first Mac, and Im very satisfied with it. It works even better than my last PC desktop computer. It is very fast and stabile, only thing I have changed on this configuration was upgrade memory to 8 gb ram.
I would definitly recomend this to friend.

Comments about Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
I purchased this computer as a replacement for my MacPro desktop computer. I needed something that was just as powerful and that could run all my desktop publishing/graphic design applications (CS5) without being tied down to a desk. I needed portable flexibility. This MacBook Pro is a perfect solution for my needs. I do not regret the switch at all. Also, it can easily support my large monitor if I do need some extra screen real estate. I highly recommend this computer to anyone - mom and pops to hard core power users. At purchase I upgraded to 8GB RAM and the Hi-res Antiglare. The antiglare screen is a must have for a designer. The color is more true than the glossy and there is no glare. Note - there is a silver bezel on the antiglare monitors rather than the black. Not sure why, I really like the look of the black bezel over the silver so I guess that is a con but having a screen the doesn't have a glare on it makes up for it. The I installed myself in about 20 minutes. I honestly could not tell the difference between the stock 4GB and the 8GB upgrade but I had only used the computer a day or two before upgrading. It obviously helps I just didn't notice. A couple other things about buying with B&H. The RAM was only [$]versus [@] [$] for the same thing. No tax saved another $175 bucks. They both have free shipping which is nice. So with the savings I got with B&H the upgrades I purchased were free! I found the same computer online for a less but it wasn't a reputable place and I didn't want to chance it. B&H offers a great shopping experience, quality products that are priced right.

This is my photo-editing computer and my very first Mac.
I love almost everything about it (including its amazing antiglare screen and apps such as the iPhoto and Aperture),
except its buggy OS X Lion...
- Sometimes when I opened Mission Control, I couldn't see the small windows at the top of the screen.
- There are also many Adobe softwares (including AIR) that you cannot install until you turn off the Automatic Graphics Switching.
I did not regret switching to Mac a bit.

I've been wanting one for a few years now, and finally got it. Bye bye Microsoft buggy OS.. Love the stability of OSX, very reliable and strong machine.
A bit pricy, but seems to be worth the money if your work and income depend on your computer.

Comments about Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
Just replaced my 3 year old MBP with this one. Great feel on the new keys, and I love the actions of the track pad. Plenty of speed for shooting tethered, and the battery life is pretty amazing, even for the graphic intensive programs I use. I'd like to see the ability to have a backup battery to install, but I'm probably in the top 1% of how long I run a battery w/o electricity available. I'm a location photographer, so it may be an issue at some point. I've ordered an adapter to power the MCB from the cigarette lighter in my truck, so that should suffice. Can't go wrong with the computer. I did upgrade to 8G.
