The Perfect Photo Suite 6 from onOne Software includes seven professional-level modules that provide all the tools needed for enhancing or fixing your digital photos. While Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 can only be used as a plug-in for Photoshop, this version of the software can be used on its own or as a plug-in for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Aperture, and Lightroom. This major upgrade brings together Perfect Portrait 1, Perfect Layers 2, Perfect Effects 3, Perfect Mask 5, Perfect Resize 7, FocalPoint 2, and PhotoFrame 4.
Perfect Portrait 1 is great for retouching or enhancing portraits. Perfect Layers 2 lets you combine multiple images into one file and even from different programs like Lightroom and Aperture. Perfect Effects 3 includes a vast library of professional photographic effects that be combined and then previewed. Perfect Mask 5 allows you to isolate your subject and remove the background of the image. It lets you fine-tune what's removed as well, so you can retain small details like hair, nets, and the like, instead of cropping them. Perfect Resize 7 gives you the power to increase the size of your image well over 1000% without a loss of sharpness or detail. FocalPoint 2 allows you to control the focus, so that you can create realistic selective focus, depth-of-field and vignette effects. PhotoFrame 4 allows you to add the perfect finishing touch to your images, as it features hundreds of design elements like film edges, borders, textures, backgrounds and adornments. It even has complete layouts where you just drop your image in and you are done. Whether you decide to use each of these modules on its own or as a plug-in, you'll no doubt have a huge high-quality toolkit for enhancing your photographs, handling any problems, and realizing what your mind's eye sees.

- Now Perfect Photo Suite 6 users can move effortlessly between applications rather than having to open and close individual applications. I'm a brick and mortar photographer at heart and don't stray into most of the arcane venues that digital photography and the universe of the attendant software would allow me to. But regardless of your photographic niche'I firmly believe you'll find Perfect Photo Suite 6 a most welcome addition to whichever other software programs you have.
It is not a panacea nor was it intended to be. Rather its real strength lies in its ability to turn a marginal shot into a good one, and a good shot into an outstanding one.
My applications with PPS6 so far have been mostly with the "Effects" portion, not to add colors, or shapes that were never in the shot to begin with, but to enhance clarity and detail. It has in every respect exceeded every expectation I had. And it's so easy to use!
In fact I'm so impressed with it I've already written onOne to express my satisfaction.
