Comments about Sunwayfoto DYH-90 Leveling Base:
I use this leveling base on my Gitzo Giant Carbon Fiber that has a rapid column. I put a Manfrotto 503 HDV fluid head on top of the base and attach my Panasonic HPX250 to the head—works very well! The leveling base is smooth, solid, and has a full 17 degrees tilt in any direction. This combination of equipment gives me the ability to go from about 26" to over 9', with the speed and flexibility of a rapid column, quick solid leveling, and the functionality of a fluid head.

Comments about Sunwayfoto DYH-90 Leveling Base:
My application was to level a pan head. Very stiff operation, requires way too much force to move. Probably designed for very heavy camera systems. I cannot make slight adjustments with my DSLR due to the force required to move. A well made piece of equipment, great finish, all metal - Just Not suitable for my application. Has a 3/8" camera thread, you'll need a 1/4" adapter.

Comments about Sunwayfoto DYH-90 Leveling Base:
I bought this to use with my Wimberly Head and big glass. I shoot often in hilly areas, and this allows me to not have to fuss so much with leveling and placement of the tripod. The DYH-90 Leveling Base operates very smoothly and locks down very well. At its advertised 66-pound load capacity, it's way more than I needed; but it has proven to be a very good purchase, as I can confidently add newer and heavier items.
