The PU100 Pan/Tilt Head by Polecam provides full electronic control to D-SLR cameras via pulse encoded Faulhaber motors for both pan and tilt operations. A 12 bit PID motion controller is employed to regulate the pan and tilt axis via a closed loop configuration for precise, effortless control. In fact, the PU100 is able to move 30 times slower than its predecessors, while accomplishing a full 360 degrees in just 7.0 seconds.
You can mount the PU100 in the traditional way or upside-down in a hanging position. Unlimited panning is made possible by built-in slip rings on the head which offer power and monitoring options. Designed to monitor a composite signal, the unit's BNC connector offers the bonus of handling HD SDI. Power outlets are provided to accommodate camera DC adapters and there is also an iris drive power outlet for the small iris drive motors which are used with mini cams.
