The Cineroid EVF Metal Viewfinder with HDMI In and SDI Out provides an eyepiece view, or, at the flip or removal of the eyepiece, an LCD view, and can be used with large camcorders as well as with DSLRs.
The eyepiece can be flipped open 180° to reveal a 3.2" LCD, or it can be detached completely. Atop the eyepiece is a diopter adjuster. Resolution is 800x480. The EVF takes a camera signal by an HDMI input, and it outputs to a preview monitor by an SDI output. A speaker is built-in to the rear of the EVF and can be used for monitoring audio being captured, but a 3.5mm headphone jack is also built in and allows optional headphones to be used for monitoring audio. Another 3.5mm jack is available for an optional remote control.
A great way of mounting the EVF is by articulating arm, but it can also be mounted onto camera hot-shoes and tripods via an included mini shoe-mount adapter. The EVF has a 1/4"-20 threaded hole at its bottom.
In addition to dedicated menu buttons, the EVF has quick-access buttons that its many features, such as peaking, can be programmed into.
