The G53SX-DH71 15.6" Notebook Computer (Black) from ASUS is a very capable notebook computer, built to handle the intensive hardware demands that modern computer games place on a system. The computer's graphics engine is powered by the nVIDIA GTX 560M Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and is loaded with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory.
For added multimedia fun, the computer has an integrated 2MP webcam, microphone, and a DVD±RW/CD-RW burner that also supports DVD DL discs. The EAX Advanced HD 5.0 sound system provides crisp and clear audio output for a true multimedia experience. For watching movies, you can rely upon the notebook's LED-backlit, 15.6" display. It has a Full High-Definition resolution of 1920 x 1080. You can also watch content from the notebook on an HDTV via the built-in HDMI connection. Plus, as an alternative, you can view movies or games or work on a VGA display via the notebook's VGA port.
The system is powered by a 2.2GHz Intel i7-2670QM quad-core CPU which, coupled with the graphics card, can really push up frame rates in complex video games. Thanks to Intel Turbo Boost Technology, you can overclock the system's CPU to up to 3.1GHz for enhanced performance.
Storage is handled by the 750GB SATA hard drive that spins at the fast disk speed of 7200rpm. The computer boasts a generous 12GB of RAM that's great for running demanding programs or multitasking. For wired or wireless communication, the notebook has a Gigabit Ethernet port and supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 3.0. Two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port are there for connecting peripherals or external storage devices. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

I was looking for a particular set of Hardware requirements and the G53SX met them. For the price, I could not find a notebook that beat it. I am more than satisfied with the performance. I use it for 3D modeling, simulations and music production/performance. The only problem I have had so far, is there is a glitch in the display if I put some light twisting torque on the body. This is being resolved by ASUS. Over all if is wasn't for the display glitch I would give it 5/5 stars.

What impressed me is that this computer is able to run all of The Sims 3 expansions, stuff packs, and downloadable content at the highest graphics settings. I've built my own gaming towers before, and the came crashed out or lagged from time to time. This hasn't had a problem yet! It's amazing!
