The Intelix DIGI-SCAL-11X2 HD Switcher/Scaler/Format Converter is an all-in-one HD switcher, scaler, and converter with eleven inputs and two parallel HDMI outputs.
It switches between the inputs and outputs the selected one onto two screens via HDMI. It also upscales the selected one to 720p or 1080p, but a bypass mode can be applied to keep the signal at native resolution. Additionally, a built-in processing feature of the scaler allows contrast, brightness, saturation, sharpness, hue, noise rejection, and size to be adjusted.
The 11x2 has four HDMI inputs. All four are programmed to de-embed any audio coming in by HDMI. The first three de-embed and reroute to the left and right analog audio outputs, and the fourth reroutes to the optical digital output for 5.1 surround sound. However, the rerouting will work only if the outputs have devices plugged into them, whereas otherwise, the audio will bypass those outputs and go straight to the HDMI outputs.
The 11x2 is overall equipped with composite video, component video, S-Video, VGA, DVI, HDMI, stereo audio and optical audio inputs. Switching between them can be done with a wireless remote control, which comes included, or by turning a knob on the front panel. RS232 control can optionally also be set up with the addition of third party add-ons.
