Comments about Yankee Utility Developing Tank for Film up to 4x5":

Ordered these for our darkroom at the school I work at. All of them (ordered 5 or 6) were not manufactured properly. The notches on the base that allow you to change the format of the film you are developing were not carved properly on any of them, so the film holder needed to be glued into the proper position - it would have come apart during use otherwise, leaving one's film just floating around in the tank. The HP Combiplan tank is better, but not by much. (The HP uses about half of the amount of liquid as the Yankee, which uses about 54oz. This is a lot) If you are serious about large format film, do yourself a favor and get a darkroom and develop your film in trays. Leave the tanks for roll film

Comments about Yankee Utility Developing Tank for Film up to 4x5":

Good tank for 4x5, relatively sturdy. Floater lid tends to sink in working-strength hypo-clear.

Be careful with leaving developer in a tank for too long (ie, a few weeks), it seems to take the black finish off the inside of the tank and could deposit it on your film. I filtered the chemistry with a coffee filter, scrubbed the inside clean, and all was well.

Comments about Yankee Utility Developing Tank for Film up to 4x5":

I've had a couple of these for a long time. they're very durable. They are also a little larger than the stainless steel tanks, which is nice. The biggest problem is they don't have a spout for pouring back in the bottle, they dribble all over. Stainless Steel tanks dribble less, but still dribble. To empty these tanks, I usually pour them into a 8x10 tray, so they dribble into the tray, and then pour the tray into the bottle. I've never used the lids.

If you don't have room for a 3 1/2 gallon sink line this may be the next best thing.
