General Brand Sync Extension Cord - PC Male to PC Female, Straight - 15'
This is a 15' straight extension cord for an existing sync cord. Sync cords provides the necessary connection between a power pack or monolight, and a camera, or triggering device that has a female PC (post connection) terminal.
Straight cords are lighter, and usually more economical than coiled cords; coiled cords stretch when necessary, and are more heavy duty than straight cords.
Premium sync cords have gold-plated ends, for longer lasting sure connections.

I needed to increase the distance of my sync cord as I use it attached to a background light. This serves the purpose wonderfully. It attaches tightly and allows my lights to fire consistently. I am very happy that I bought this.

This cable seemed okay, but I only got to use it once. When I was through, and disconnected the cable from the flash and camera, I discovered one end (connected to the flash) had come apart (the metal part was stil attached to the flash).

Haven't had a misfire yet and it works just fine plugged into the PC adapter cable that comes with the 285HV. It's a lot of cable, though, so be careful not to trip.
