The Lensbaby Composer Pro For Canon With Accessory Kit includes the Lensbaby Composer Pro With Double Glass Optic and the Lensbaby Accessory Kit. The Composer Pro is part of the Lensbaby series of SLR lenses, and offers the same spectacular special-effect results. The refined and enhanced Composer Pro has an all-metal ball that gives you a more exact, smooth focus and tilt control and will retain its position after being bent, which makes it easy to use even with one hand. Simply tilt the lens to a desired angle and then focus with a traditional barrel focusing ring.
The Double Glass Optic is a hybrid between a bellows camera and a tilt-shift camera. It allows for selective focusing with SLR cameras. It will bring one area of a photo into sharp focus, surrounded by gradually increasing blur. Effects like blurring, glowing highlights, and subtle, prismatic color distortions can all be achieved without software manipulations. The lens can be bent off-center in any direction for different results.
The Composer Pro is compatible with the Optic Swap System--a line of different "optics" that can be interchanged with the Muse and Composer versions. This provides artists with an almost unlimited variety of looks and styles to capture their unique visions.
The Composer Pro comes supplied with the Double Glass Optic, which provides the sharpest focus in its range. It offers a tack sharp sweet spot, with minimal diffusion at all aperture settings.
The Lensbaby Accessory Kit is a complete add-on accessory kit for use with all Lensbaby versions, except for the Original version.
It includes the Lensbaby 0.6X Wide Angle/1.6X Telephoto Kit, the Lensbaby Macro Kit, and the Lensbaby Creative Aperture Kit. With the Lensbaby Accessory Bundle you will be able to shoot your Lensbaby at 30mm, 50mm, and 80mm, and focus from 2" to infinity, and custom cut your aperture shapes.
- No electronic communication is possible between the camera and the lens. All operation is strictly manual. Automatic light metering is possible by shooting in aperture priority mode for almost all digital and film SLR camera bodies.
- The lens aperture can be changed (f/2 to f/22) by inserting one of the supplied different sized aperture discs.
- The Composer Pro features a unique manual focus design which requires more rotation to move the optic as you approach infinity. This makes it easier to focus on objects at intermediate and distant depths than regular manual focus lenses.

The composer pro kit is great value and loads of fun. The flexibility of attaching the wide and tele adaptor really makes this kit well worth it. It takes some time to figure out how to use the lensbaby system but you can get some really interesting shots. Pretty much a tilt-shift lens without the shift (or the expensive canon pricing). However, I would say that despite the "Pro" attached to the name, I still view the lensbaby system as sort of a toy in comparison to my canon Ls. The composer pro is sharp enough but I probably wouldn't use it for professional work. That being said when I'm just casually shooting, I have the Composer Pro on my DSLR 90% of the time. Every shot is different and exciting which is something I don't get with the consistency of my more expensive lenses. Overall a good buy for the fun I get out of shooting with it.

Tilt shift photography for portraits gives a special look and feel that you have to work for hours on photoshop to create. It looks better through the lens than after production altering of pictures/ The creative lens inserts add lighting effects that enhance the final product.
I found you can cut and alter the inserts to make your own creative effects.
I have not used for movies yet but that is my next endeavor.
Well worth the money and can not what to save up enough for additional lens baby lenses.

This lens is very interesting. It really gives you some creative options and helps one see things in different way. The only drawback is that its not very sharp so for product photography it's not going to work for you. for everything else it can be really fun.

This is a poor man's tilt-shift. Its fun to fool around with, and it comes with 4 lenses that do everything from macro (2) to zoom(1) to wide angle(1) . Its not a lens that will shoot with zero distortion while the lens is bent as far as it will go, but it was not designed to do that.
I look forward to spring and shooting nature close ups...!!!
