Me and my wife use it for short walks, when there is no need to take heavy equipment. D90 with 18-105 zoom fits easily, and there is enough space to carry camera with a compact telezoom attached.
The rain protection is a must have thing to have on any photobag, and this one fortunately has it.
Great to use, no cons found so far.

Although I may be coinsidered amoung the monkeys as far as my photo expertise, I do know a good product one I get one. Now this case is not going to do more than it is supposed to which is to simply keep your camera safe, secure and even help to keep it dry but that is what you want in a case. It fits my Nikon D5100 with the base lens and the 200 lense as well. It has good padding, I like the lens cradel and the neon yellow inside that really does help to find objects (not that it is really designed to hold more than a camera but if you have extra memory cards or extra batteries etc. it has room). I really have not found anything to complain about this case.

In need of a durable bag for serious outdoor terrain, I checked out the camera bags at B&H starting at "A". I didn't think I'd find something right on the first page -- just like I try to avoid going for "AA Taxi" in the yellow pages. Still, the Ape case was exactly the right case size, had durability built into the design, and even included a rain cover, which I was not even thinking of finding in a case. It has an extra-large loop that looks like someone had the waist strap of a backpack in mind.

So I bought it, and took it out into the mountains the next day, and it worked beautifully. It's rugged, snug, compact, and kept my gear safe. It clearly feels like it was designed by people who spend time outside in the backwoods.

Love. This. Bag! The compact contoured size/shape is great - protects the camera with a snug fit while secret compartments allow you to stow a few key essentials on board. Contoured shape keeps extraneous clutter from collecting in the bag - an all too common pitfall of the traditional camera bag. Bright yellow interior allows for visibility of everything in the bag. I wish my handbags had this feature! Quality is incredible at this or any price! Rugged fabric, durable strap, stitching, zippers, pulls, etc.

I use it to protect my D7000 with 4-5" long lens in backpack/duffel bag (protection) or carry it on the belt. I haven't used strap (yet), but it looks OK. The rain sack seems to be very useful, but I haven't been caught in the rain yet.
Seems to be very well made (especially considering the price).

I spent some time looking at the bags that B&H had to offer. I wanted something that would hold my new camera, some of the most-used accessories and not get too large. This case met all my criteria. I also like some of the features, like the reverse-hinge lid, yellow interior and rain cover.
