The Redged TSA-424 Ultimate 4-Section Aluminum Travel Tripod is a lightweight travel tripod that supports a good deal of weight and folds up extremely small for easy transport in backpacks and carry-on bags. The legs fold upward 180° so that the feet form somewhat of a cradle for a photography head (not included) – you can attach many different head models and still not add to the tripod's folded length of 16.9".

The TSA-424 includes many features that professionals expect: anti-rotation legs for quick setup, a relatively high load capacity of 17.6 lb, a reversible, splittable center column, and a counterweight hook for attaching a ballast for added stability during windy shoots. In addition, the twist locks are designed to prevent sand and dust from invading the legs.

Composed of aluminum alloy, the 4-section legs and center column extend to a maximum height of 57.5". At only 2.6 lb, the TSA-424 is a great choice for backpackers and other traveling photographers.

Aluminum Leg Tubes
Leg tubes are composed of lightweight, heavy-duty aluminum alloy
Non-Rotation Legs
Because of the non-rotation system, all locks of each leg can be opened at the same time, in one movement. Setup happens in a matter of seconds
Easy Lock Rings
The Redged ring-locking system keeps dust and sand from entering the tripod, ensuring perfect operation. It requires no extra power to achieve a safe locking
Two-Part Center Column
For low positions, the lower part of the center column can be removed
Extra-Low Position Set
For extra-low positions, the center column can be removed. The top disc can be mounted directly on the tripod chassis
Reversible Column
By inverting the center column, it is possible to realize even lower camera positions and macro positions. This is also great for making reproductions of flat objects, using the setup as a sort of copy stand
Stability Hook
The counterweight hook is designed for attaching extra weight (a photo bag, or a bag with sand or stones), to increase the stability of the tripod, especially during windy conditions
Reversible Mounting Screw
Reversible screw has both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, so any photo head or other accessory can be attached
Rubber Feet
Universal rubber feet, suitable for many surfaces
Extra-Compact Traveler Design
This tripod features a "traveler" design – the legs fold upward 180°, the feet ending up a few inches past the top of the center column. This means you can add a head (not included), assuming it's compact enough, without adding to the tripod's total folded length
Tripod Bag Included
Supplied with a high-quality tripod bag
