Comments about Zoom Telephonics 5341J DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem:
I purchased this to replace my rental modem that Comcast provided. the rental is a slow RCA telephony/broadband modem. The Zoom DOCSIS3.0 modem will pay for itself in less then a year and I have much higher download/upload speeds.
I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because I have only been running the unit for 2 weeks. So far, installation is easy. The connection has been reliable and it takes up a lot less space then my previous modem.
I was considering the Motorola and the Linksys/Cisco modems but reading the Comcast forums there have been some bad firmware pushes (that are pushed via comcast) that cause unreliable connections.

Comments about Zoom Telephonics 5341J DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem:
I replaced a DOCSYS 2.0 modem that seemed to be working well most of the time but I think was dropping packets, causing dropped VOIP calls.
The indicator lights are nice.
I've had no dropped VOIP calls since replacing the old modem. I'm pretty sure the old modem was the cause of the problem.

Comments about Zoom Telephonics 5341J DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem:
I replaced an ancient rental modem with this device. It installed easily and has since come through several brief power outages without incident. Our cable provider (Charter) supports DOCSIS 3.0, so the significant increase in download speed was a nice plus.

Comments about Zoom Telephonics 5341J DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem:
I purchased this modem after the cable company raised their modem rental rates again. I read multiple reviews online, and it came down to this model or the Motorola 6120. The advantage here was the fact that the Zoom 5351J bonds 8 channels versus the Motorola's 4 channels. Which future proofs my needs.
