Construction

Durable, injection-molded clear polycarbonate case, known for strength and corrosion-free properties, features nearly neutral buoyancy in fresh water. Mechanical controls allow full access to all camera functions and are depth rated to 200' (60 m). Standard flat port is included. Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.

Included Flash Diffuser

Improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective from 1.0 - 3.0' (0.3 - 0.9 m) away from your subject in clear conditions. To achieve the best results, an external underwater strobe is recommended.

Other Included Supplies

1cc tube of silicone lubricant, a flash deflector and a vinyl port cover.

Tray with Release Handles

Optional Tray with Release Handle(s) (not included) provides comfortable handling underwater and attachment points for substrobes and accessories. See Trays with Release Handles.

External Underwater Strobes

bring out the natural color of your subject and reduce the illumination of particles suspended in the water, known as backscatter. An optional Ikelite AutoFlash AF35 can provide additional light with easy automatic exposure. You may also use an optional DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and wider angle of coverage (strobes not included). See All recommended strobe systems.

Color Correction Filters

Great for helping to restore natural color underwater, they replace some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that would otherwise be lost. Effective in relatively shallow, sunny conditions. Optional #6441.46 and #6441.86 filters available for tropical blue water and green water, respectively (not included). For best results, use filters in combination with manual white balance.

WD-4 Wide-Angle Conversion Dome

External wide-angle conversion lenses cannot be used to any advantage on housing, but optional WD-4 dome corrects for refractive magnification of flat port underwater, to restore camera's original angle of coverage (dome not included). May be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard port.

Macro Adapter #9306.82

Optional adapter for attaching 67 mm threaded macro lenses from Inon and Epoque (adapter / lenses not included). This adapter, too, may be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard port.

Video Light

Housing allows for attachment of optional video lights (not included). Pro-V8 is perfect for close-up work and focus assistance. For the serious shooter, Ikelite recommends the powerful PRO-2800 LED for maximum output and versatility. The optional tray with release handle(s) is required for attachment (not included).
