Samsung Central Station 23" LED Computer Monitor
The Central Station 23" LED Computer Monitor from Samsung combines the functions of a USB hub, Internet Access Point, and display all in one. This monitor features a 23" viewable screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. To illuminate the screen, the monitor relies upon LED-backlighting, a technology that uses less energy than CCFL lamps but that still offers excellent performance.
The monitor can connect to your computer via VGA, HDMI, USB, or USB wireless. Plus, with HDMI, you can connect other devices, such as a gaming console, media player, and more. Along with these options, the monitor has a Fast Ethernet LAN port that allows you to connect it to your router or modem. Once you've done so, you can utilize the included USB wireless dongle to wirelessly connect your laptop or desktop to the monitor and to the Internet. USB wireless will work within five feet. As an alternative, you can also connect your computer to the designated USB port built into the monitor and receive the Internet this way.
Also, the monitor has two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports for connecting and charging peripherals. One of the USB 3.0 ports supports super-charging, which charges your device at a faster rate. In terms of audio, the monitor features one 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jack.
The display has a wide 170°/160° viewing angle, so you can correctly see visuals from a variety of different positions, whether you are on the far left, far right, on the floor, or of course, directly in front. The monitor also comes with Samsung's MagicAngle technology, which allows you to further tweak the viewing angle settings. The monitor's high 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio means fast-moving darker or lighter visuals will appear clearly. The fast 2ms response time ensures that fast-moving or static images won't blur. We use our monitor for our home desktop. We don't do anything sophisticated with it, but I have to say the display is beautiful. The colors, clarity and crispness of pictures is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I definitely recommend this monitor to anyone wanting to buy one! I did only give it 4 stars though because getting the wireless setup was a bit of a headache.
