The E4200V2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N N900 Router is designed to give you the speed and bandwidth to connect multiple computers on your network and stream more demanding content like HD video. Once you connect your modem to the WAN Ethernet port on this router, the router can wirelessly connect with all of your 802.11N Wi-Fi devices. It does so via both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and can transfer data at up to a blazing 450Mbps per band.
With dual bands, the router can stream more demanding, bandwidth-consuming content like video, music, or VoIP calling, on one band and less demanding traffic on another band or just spread out network traffic, however demanding it might be. That means, you can have multiple computers surfing the 'net and streaming video without serious lags or delays.
Beyond these features, you can also establish a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection with the router as it has four of these ports. It also has a USB storage port that allows you to connect a USB external drive or memory stick. Want to stream content to your UPnP media device? Well, the router can do that too! For security, the router supports WPA/WPA2 encryption and has an SPI firewall. All told, this Mac and PC compatible router will give you plenty of speed and connectivity for everyone in your home or small office.

Comments about Linksys E4200V2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N N900 Router:
Very fast set up. So far, I'm very pleased with it. I have a cafe directly across the street from me here in New York and I'm able to access my own connection while sitting there. While I wasn't crazy about the price I didn't mind paying it if it performed as advertised. I'm very satisfied

Comments about Linksys E4200V2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N N900 Router:
Although IPv6 needs more work and at least some explicit settings (DNS, router advertisement controls etc.), this is is a solid product. Easy to set up and fast, it provides stable WiFi connections and excellent switching and routing speeds.

Comments about Linksys E4200V2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N N900 Router:
I use this product in my home to access the internet with my laptop and i-Pad2. Also I have two smart tv's and two surround sound sytems which rely on a wirless connection.
My old router could not keep up so I bought this new one. There are no problems running all my equipment and it is FAST! I cannot find anything wrong with this product. I would encourage anybody needing a new improved and faster router to consider this one.

Comments about Linksys E4200V2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N N900 Router:
This is the latest Cisco N router developed for their Linksys Division. It is dual-band, 450Mbs up and down. Most high speed usb connectors or cards haven't been released yet for the higher speeds. This Router supports those higher speeds. The version 1 of this router is good too, however it does not (I believe) supports the higher upload speeds (300 vs 450).
This is an easy setup router and has excellent range. I very happy I finally upgraded to the N protocol. Streaming wireless HD, high speed requirements are no longer and issue (I was previously capped on 54Mbps).
If you have an old router, slower connection speeds, I'd consider this router as a good upgrade path.

Comments about Linksys E4200V2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N N900 Router:
Unit is sleek, compact and attractive. So far it runs fairly cool. It is fast and the specs are better than my current wireless devices so I am not getting its boasted speeds. Now the pitfalls. WPS IS NOT DISABLED even though you can configure the wireless bands manually- A MAJOR security flaw. Hopefully a firmware upgrade will fix this. I have Linksys WPSM54G wireless print servers that WILL NOT connect on its G band.
I also have a Linksys SPA2102 Voip modem that would not stay connected via the wired link. I had to re-boot the router every 12~16 hours or so- Putting back my old wrt54g router and using this one as a switch, not a router solved both these connectivity problems.
