The Xciter Aural Exciter and Optical Big Bottom Pedal by Aphex takes the two legendary, studio dynamics processors and combines them into one, compact pedal for the stage. It has always been hard to explain even for the most noteworthy audio professionals what the Aural Exciter actually does but basically; it's said to just make things sound better. In simple terms, the Xciter brings out character, boosts presence and improves bass response without adding volume or distortion. It brings life to your tone by enhancing harmonics and producing wider, more spacious sound.
The Xciter was designed for bass, acoustic and electric guitar with dedicated presets for each. However, much like the original Aural Exciter the Xciter can be used for any other electric instruments and audio applications. Get creative.
