I purchased the Airstash AO2 Wireless Flash Drive mainly to use while I am traveling with only my iPad and no computer. Backing up pictures on photography trips is my main concern as I like to have a second backup beside the iPad. After importing the photos from the camera to the iPad using the camera kit, I then upload the photos from the iPad to an SD card inserted in the AO2. This way I have two backups in addition to the camera memory card, one on the iPad and one on an SD card. I usually carry several SD cards while I travel, so this is a perfect solution without the need to carry a computer. The device has also another important use. All videos and large files can be stored on an SD card and viewed wirelessly on the iPad without using any of the iPad storage, thus freeing iPad space for photos. The device is compatible with several apps such as WebDev and Goodreader, however, the AirStash+ app is what works best, especially if you shoot RAW images. It is important to note that I found that in order to transfer RAW images from the iPad to this device, I had to have only the RAW images on the iPad rather than RAW+JPEG. Having both RAW and JPEG with the same name results in uploading only the JPEG from the iPad to the device. Other than that, the AirStash works exactly as advertised and so far I found no issues with it.

Transfer anything from computer to iPad without syncing. Since the Airstash uses removabe SD card for storage(8gig card comes with it), only need to change the card for additional space. Too many great features to list here, just get it. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because rechargeable battery can't be replaced. Maybe it never dies, but until I know, I'm concerned about it.
