The NextoDI NVS 2501 Video Storage Pro frees you up to shoot at length without having to backup your footage to a computer. The NVS 2501 boasts a 128GB SSD hard drive. Files can be transferred to the drive via a multitude of compatible cards or using the eSATA, USB 2.0, or FireWire 800 computer interfaces. Supported formats include FAT 12, FAT 16, FAT 32, and ExFAT. The device also supports MPEG, MPEG4 AVC/AVC-HD.
Along with holding mega-amounts of data, the NVS 2501 backs it up quickly thanks to the company's X-Copy Technology. SxS cards backup four times faster than a laptop, with the average backup speed being 90MB/s. And when it comes to power, the NVS 2501's internal battery can be recharged multiple ways: via the included AC adapter, the car charger, via USB, using the FireWire 6-6pin, or using an external AA battery holder.
Additionally, the NVS 2501 keeps your data safe from damage or loss with an internal free fall sensor, non-elastic shock protection, a rubber made shock absorber, and shock protective rubber end-caps. This NEXTO also uses checks for bad sectors prior to copying new data and sector recovery, for moving data from a bad sector to a good one.
