The S25I-TP from Applied Microphone Technology is a professional-quality condenser microphone designed for use with an acoustic bass. The mic has a durable and lightweight aluminum construction and a positionable flex arm for precise positioning. The mic's attachment mechanism is designed to attach to the tail piece of a bass, allowing you to put the instrument back in its case without having to remove the mic.
The mic has a tight polar pattern designed to reject surrounding noises and to provide the most gain before feedback. The mic's disconnect cable technology lets you easily detach the cable for convenient setup and breakdown. This model uses AMT's inline preamp which operates on phantom power (only) and maintains a low profile during performances. The inline power supply also features a dB pad switch and low-cut roll-off filter. A standard male XLR connector integrates with a variety professional sound systems and amplifiers. A protective hardshell case is included.
