This Avid Media Composer 6 with Matrox MXO2 Mini (Thunderbolt) I/O Device Kit from B&H is a hardware/software video capture, editing, conversion & playback solution for professional video production. Avid Media Composer 6 features a 64-bit architecture that allows it to address more system RAM, and MXO2 Mini captures high-quality 10-bit video signals that are suddenly easier to handle in the software. The I/O interface also supports Media Composer by executing hardware-based real-time up/down/cross conversion for going from one format to another. Connecting to your computer via its Thunderbolt port, the connection with the MXO2 Mini supports throughput of up to 10 Gb/s.
The MXO2 Mini device has inputs & outputs for HDMI, composite, HD/SD component, and S-Video, as well as analog stereo audio. All these inputs & outputs add up to wide-open options for ingest and monitoring – and the MXO2 Mini device includes monitor calibration software, so you can turn your low-cost, high-quality HDMI monitor into a professional-grade video monitor.
Note! Requires a Thunderbolt cable. For Mac systems, Matrox's Avid Media Composer 6.0 driver requires you to be on OS X 10.7.2 Lion or above.
