Was in the process of donating an old notebook (circa 2006) and decided to put a fresh copy of Windows 7 on it. Had heard that it could 'breathe new life' into older systems. Installed easily given that all the drivers are already in the OS. Must admit that it does really well on 2GB RAM. In fact, apps such as Office 2007 perform quite speedily on it compared to XP. I chose performance over apprearance in the options and am impressed with its stability. A great deal for [$].
